"I was attending a course in the leisure centre next door. The Aqua was an excellent, relaxed place to stay. The staff/owners were polite, friendly and generated a relaxed atmosphere. The small, well stocked bar carried on this relaxing, informal atmosphere. (The squeaky bar stools could do with fixing but were still amusing) The food is top notch and very affordable. "Hotel 67 is really a block of about 30 rooms within the Gleneagle hotel. The brutalist/minimalist decor of the room (exposed concrete and wire conduits etc) may not be for everybody, and is not aging well. Our window (overlooking a roof with noise AC units) was broken an difficult to close. That being said, the bars and restaurants and other facilities of the Gleneagle hotel are great, and the room was very comfortable. Having a boxed breakfast delivered to the room may be an unusual choice, but...

"Don't be put off by the 2☆ rating. This wee hotel is good. The staff are friendly, maid service prompt and efficient and location is excellent. Pretty much central in town and lot's of cafes and restaurant's on the doorstep. The rooms are clean and spacious, however a little outdated. I have stayed in 4☆'s that were worse though..The bed is comfortable. Negatives are over the weekend it gets noisy from midnight until around 3/4am due to proximity of late opening bars. Not a big issue though.....
