"Best view in the whole city. we stayed in room no. 8 and i am sure we had the best room. the host is very welcoming and made the best breakfast. the walk to the city was easy and quick. there is no parking and the water pressure is low, but we can definitely recommend staying here. don't hesitate, the place gets 10/10❤️"

"“I recently stayed here, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. When I first looked it up, I saw some older reviews that were negative, but those were from years ago when the building wasn’t finished. Now, it’s a beautifully built place—spotlessly clean, no bugs (which can be an issue in Ella), with a comfortable bed, spacious room, and a pristine bathroom. Everything was just perfect. But the real highlight was the view. From the balcony, I saw the most breathtaking sunrises and panoramas you can find in Ella. The service was outstanding. Priyanath and his team, including the chef and another staff member, were incredibly attentive and always went above and beyond to meet my requests—whether it was arranging a budget-friendly car service or responding quickly on WhatsApp. Even the owner was always available and helpful. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting in the future. It’s a hidden gem, and I’ll definitely be coming back "

"Excellent. Clean and comfortable with magnificent views. They are building an infinite pool on the roof that should be ready in a few months. The views will be even more spectacular. Breakfast was also very good. Interesting, fresh and tasty. The staff were very attentive. I would happily come back"

"This was our second time staying at 98 Acres. The Resort and its facilities are wonderful but the staff at 98 Acres are absolutely amazing. "The view was amazing at Belmont it was absolutely breath taking and the rooms and washrooms were very clean. The breakfast was good as well. The only caution to look out for it there’s bugs that come in the room at night through the door to the balcony if there’s so hidden spaces, but if u stuff a bag or something in those spaces it should be okay. "

"Usually all hotels/resorts will provide towels inside their bathrooms. The resort does not. Bring your own. Book villa so that you can enjoy breakfast in the forest."

"We really enjoyed our stay in the villa. It was lovely and spacious, beds were comfortable and the location was excellent, close enough to the excitement without having to hear any of it. Poorna is very friendly and communicative and they did a great job with our laundry. We saw a mongoose in the yard whilst we were there in addition to the very cute dog that lives there. No air con which was fine but also the windows don't have fly screens on them so we were a bit reluctant to leave them open at night for fear of being eaten by mosquitoes so we relied upon the fans in the room. We didn't have a problem with hot water but we were also mindful to be quick. Overall a lovely place to stay near all the restaurants in town."

"Ella is a dream and this property was so nice! The whole ambiance is beautiful and calming. They even have a garden on the premises. Our room has a magnificent view great for watching the sunrise. I opted to watch from outside near the garden. It was so magical to watch the Sun rise while listening to the birds serenade in the background and faint Buddhist chants growing gradually louder as the Sun came up! I highly recommend this property for your stay in Ella and wish we could have stayed longer. I almost did not even come to Ella but so glad I took the 7 hour train right to get here from Kandy. Very amazing place!"
