"This was a great property for a first night in Iceland as it is close to the airport. I did not understand that it is more of a 'bunk house' situation. Our room, which I thought was only for two people had a double bed and 3 sets of bunk beds. Luckily no one else was in the room. It all worked out OK and that was probably just my misunderstanding. It was clean and neat and like I said, super close to the airport without being in a big city atmosphere!"

"The cottage was very nice and roomy with a view of the Harbour. However, the bedroom is really small and barely any room around the bed so the person at the back would have to crawl over the other person to get out. But loved all the space after smaller hotel rooms in Iceland. Check in was super simple. Note there is not a lot around this area due to the past volcano action. It is close to the Blue Lagoon though, and that is why I picked it. We enjoyed Papa's for pizza but then were sort of out of luck for breakfast on Sunday. There is a kitchen though, so plan ahead if you plan to stay awhile."

"This is the stay of a lifetime (especially since it is connected to the neighboring Blue Lagoon)—and it reflects a corresponding price tag. Sticker shock aside, they have thought of every manner to pamper guests and make them feel at home (and willing to part with more cash in purchasing their various products). The staff are very well trained in the art of hospitality and will go out of their way to be of assistance. This may not be an every few year stay but it is certainly is worth a checking of the box on one’s list to be done before one dies."

"I only have one recommendation for the hotel. In the lobby, change the ringtone at reception. It is the default tone that immediately breaks the vacation mentality and brings one back to the normal grind of every day life"
