At check-in, I was asked whether I preferred a room on the first or third floor. I requested a quiet room on the third floor and was explicitly assured by the front desk that the assigned room would be in a quiet location.
Unfortunately, this turned out not to be the case. Our room was located directly next to the ice machine, which produced constant mechanical noise throughout the night — not from guest use, but from its regular operation. The humming and rumbling sounds were loud enough to significantly disrupt our sleep.
Additionally, there was a persistent rattling noise coming from the bathroom ventilation shaft. Even with the bathroom door closed, the sound remained clearly audible and distracting.
As we only became aware of these issues during the night and had already unpacked our belongings, we chose not to request a room change at that point.
Moreover, we noticed that the elevator inspection, according to the posted inspection certificate, has been overdue since January 2025. This raises concerns regarding maintenance and safety standards and should be addressed promptly.
Overall, we had looked forward to a restful stay but were disappointed in several respects. We would recommend more careful room assignment for guests seeking a quiet environment, as well as greater attention to upkeep and guest comfort.
