Excellent and classy hotel

We had a very nice comfortable and quiet stay at the Roble Sur. It really goes beyond nice and actually is a very classy place, nicely decorated, and very warm and comfortable. The people were extremely helpful and they even served up a nice dinner on very short notice. Breakfast was really great too. 5-stars!

Good breakfast, poor room condition

The location is a bit far from the downtown area. Breakfast was good and the atmosphere in the lobby was good. The room was old and badly needs updating. The carpet had clearly not been vacuumed for many nights and was was very dirty with hair, nails etc. The employees were very friendly. We would not stay here again because of the condition of the room unfortunately.

Great stay - location is less than 10 mins walk from bus station (although slightly uphill if you have cases!) and 20 mins from the town centre. Very welcoming, very clean, comfy and quiet rooms, great shower, and a decent breakfast (fresh juice, cornettos, toast, cereal, fruit). Would stay again!

Very friendly staff. Location is a little further away from the main city but close to the bus station and which is exactly why we stayed here as we had an early morning bus.

Nice place to stay

Nice local place to stay in El Calafate. A bit far outside the city centre, but not far to walk. Really pleasant staff, who were extremely helpful and friendly. Would def recommend it.

We booked this hotel via Expedia. We arrived around 8:00 pm but no body was in the hotel (the entrance was locked, all rooms were dark except some light in the lobby; no body was in the hotel. Fortunately, we had a English speaking taxi driver who is very nice. He waited for us to check-in but no body was there to check us in. He drove us around the town to find another hotel to stay. Without his kindness, we would have to stay outside for the very windy cold night since we would not be able to find another Taxi to find another hotel. It was horrible!!! I am terrified!!! After we checked in another hotel, we called Expedia and they let us wait and wait; we were on the phone with them for about 40 minutes and we cut the conversation off because it was very late and we had not have dinner and had a tour scheduled the second day... Later they told me via email that they did not received our reservation due to a system error; but Expedia had collected the payment from us during the booking!!! Refund of the payment is not sufficient; we requested for compensation of the stress and time lost, as well as the extra costs for taxi and will see how Expedia will respond to our request.

O atendimento dos funcionários foi excelente. Muito atenciosos. Mas quanto ao quarto, tenho a ressalva de que sentimos falta de uma mesa de apoio. Também havia um poltrona apenas. Quanto ao café da manhã, foi igual nos quatro dias que lá estivemos, além de ser bem restrito. No demais tudo sem ressalvas.

Personnel accueillant. Petit hôtel situé à environ 15 minutes à pieds du centre de El Calafate. Décoration sympa . Chambre spacieuse, calme et propre. Petit-déjeuner correct.

Not what we expected, but ok

We booked double bed and the hotel had confirmed with us prior to arrival by email, but when we got there they said only two single bed rooms were available. Hotel is distant from city center and nothing in walking distance besides the bus terminal. The dinner we ordered was reheated in microwave. Staff was courteous and welcoming though. Hotel is nice inside and if you have a car to get around it’s a good deal.

These were our best two nights in Argentina. We arrived tired late at night and our hostess Mariana prepared delicious lamb stew for us. Our stay was like visiting s friend. We got a Cozy room with a bathtub and salts. The lobby had a fireplace, The whole place had a very warm and elegant design. Plus we received s lot of interesting and helpful information about El Calafate, glaciers, glaciers’ museum, etc from our hostess. We suggest everyone visit the site of the hotel to learn more about the glaciers there before you plan your trip.

Une charmante auberge confortable et accueillante

Une charmante auberge avec un accueil adorable et polyglotte et de très bons conseils pour les excursions. Des lits d'un confort rare, une vue dégagée. Possibilité de se restaurer sur place sur demande concernant le midi et le soir. Auberge située un peu en périphérie mais centre-ville à 15 minutes environ et surtout à 5 minutes du terminal des bus pour les excursions. Seul petit bémol, la femme de ménage perd ses cheveux... Une belle petite adresse que je recommande vivement. J'y retournerais avec plaisir!
