SIAMO STATI FORTUNATI

Non abbiamo alloggiato nel lodge, ma nel castello (cramberry tower) perchè il lodge era in ristrutturazione. Per il castello nulla da eccepire: eccezionale. Ma per il lodge non sapremmo dire. La location è comunque eccezionale in un immenso parco.

Ruhige Lage

Traumhaftes Ambiente aber etwas weit außerhalb. Für Reisende ohne Auto mühsam erreichbar - Fußweg zur nächsten Bushaltestelle ca. 1/2 Stunde - um ins Zentrum zu gelangen: ca. 1 Stunde. Für Autoreisende komfortabel, da es genügend Parkplätze gibt. Traumhaftes Restaurant im Tower!

Detta hotell kan rekommenderas. Suverän miljö. Inte långt till jvg stationen som tar dig in till Edinburgh, som också kan rekommenderas

Not worth it

Bathroom had mold and double bed was two beds pushed together. Room next to entrance door and loud.

Friendly, Cosy and Clean

A friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. The lodges are managed by the staff at the nearby Carberry Tower. At all times the staff at Carberry Tower were fantastic. Reception staff were always friendly and offered great advice on the local area. Other bar and hospitality staff were equally as helpful and made us feel welcome for the duration of our stay. The location of the lodges is a good hour walk or 10 minutes drive to the local train station but the local taxi firm were always on hand. The location of the lodges make a great base location of exploring Edinburgh and East Lothian. Despite the rooms being a little small I would still recommend this accommodation to a friend.

pity could have been good

Room very small, smelly and gave up trying to get the shower to work scalded my arm , a shame as a lovely place and setting and the hotel itself was lovely.

Only lost points for saggy bed

Love everything about our stay here except the bed and pillows, very uncomfortable. Beautiful area next to Carbery tower, picturesque walks and gardens, lots of amazing photo opportunities. Check in was at Carbery Tower. Staff member at reception (young lady) was very helpful, friendly and efficient. Ample safe parking. Close drive to fantastic bar and grill for dinner (courtesy coach available).

Don't stay in the annex

The room was dreadful in the annex. I'm told the rooms in the castle proper are nice but I can't say.

It was four one night, they had good rates, for just the room, but if adding breakfast then allow additional funds. We were not in the main building but external units, OK for short stay Amenities were OK, Hotel was only 10 minutes from Musselborough so it was easy to access

Too bad they don't accept pets, although the hotels.com rep told me they did when i made the reservation ( and emphasised i needed a hotel that accepted pets!)...

the hotel is to far out mussleburgh town with no transportation to take you there needs sorting sorry wont go back there

Edinburgh Lodges

Beautiful country setting loaded with charm. A great place to roam around the grounds to see the gardens with flowers and wildlife all around. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this location as well as a local taxi company, R & J's Taxi. John Cullen and all his drivers were all very friendly and were a valuable source of information for a first time visitor of Scotland.

Lovely location but won't stay again

The room was very small. Double bed could just fit in. There was a bedside table with a lamp, but you couldn't switch the lamp on as there was no socket to plug it into, hence needed to get out of bed to switch of the room light. The floorboards of the nearby rooms, both on the same level and above were very noisy. The bathroom was in need of updating. Location is superb, but walking into town is not really an option. Need a car

hotel nel parco di un castello

attenzione.. l'hotel è in un posto splendido ma non facile da trovare... una volta imparata la strada si arriva in 15 minuti nel centro di Edinburgo esperienza non tanto positiva.. la prima notte ci hanno dato una camera con una finestra rotta.. dopo avevamo due camere singole e per una hanno preso un pagamento errato di 20 pounds in più e non hanno voluto restiturili subito.. da 20 giorni sto aspettandO il rimoborso sulla VISA se mai arriverà.. alla reception hanno gente molto poco professionale
