I want to be truthful in this review. It just was not a good place to stay. I was in room 4. First of all, it is right next to train tracks. A loud freight train passes through what feels like every hour, even at night. It is really hard to ignore, especially when you’re a light sleeper.
Check-in was also strange. There is no front desk or staff on site. You have to walk down the block to a grocery store to get your key. Maybe that is normal for the area, but as someone from a city, it caught me off guard.
The room itself had several issues. The glass door on the shower was not secure. It moved up and down like it was not properly installed. The doorknob to the room also felt unsafe, it rotated no matter which way you turned it, so you could not tell if it was actually locked—you had to open the door and check from the outside. The toilet seat also had strange scratches and looked like it had not been replaced in a long time. It just did not feel clean or taken care of.
I have been on a road trip from Denver to Seattle, stopping through the national parks, and out of all the places I have stayed, this was by far my least favorite. The owner did seem very kind, which is the only reason I am giving this two stars instead of one. But I would not stay here again. Just being honest.
