Great for an overnight stay on a budget

Older property run by a nice couple. Affordable place to stay for an overnight stay in Durango. Not centrally located to main dining and shopping area of Durango.

We had to make a last minute reservation as we were traveling through and a little afraid based on some of the other reviews. We were pleasantly surprised as the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the employees very nice. We both a a great night sleep and could finish our road trip the next morning.

The front desk people were kind and helpful. However, the first room we were assigned smelled horribly of smoke (it was non-smoking). The second room we were assigned was fine but compared to other hotels I have stayed in for similar price-points, this room was not very nice.

This is NOT a hotel. It is an outdated MOTEL. I’m shocked it’s owned by Wyndham. Although the flooring and bathroom had been updated, the furniture had not. Our chair was worn and dirty. The bed, pillows and comforter were very comfortable and hot water was great. The staff was friendly and saw to our needs. The tv had an issue and they came right away to fix it. This motel is worth more like $60/nt, not what we paid for it! If you’re on a budget, this would be an ok place to stay, but if you’re used to an actual hotel as we are, I’d stretch the budget a bit and stay somewhere else.

The hotel was nicely located. The pool was closed and marked as 'unsafe' so not sure if that was from it being dirty or something else. I found multiple bugs in my room along with a childs toy, which makes me wonder how thorough they actually clean it. Breakfast was as expected until I saw one of the employees touch the sausage barehanded

Dated building.

Our room was clean and had been recently painted. The breakfast area was cramped and there wasn't much selection. The cereal dispenser was broken, so I improvised and scooped cereal out with a plastic cup. Someone had drained the waffle batter onto the counter and the staff was in the middle of dealing with that mess as we sat down for breakfast. After we were done eating, someone brought out bacon and eggs.

The room was very spacious, pretty clean, and had everything from a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.The AC was right by one bed which made it hard to get air to the opposite bed. Our top lock on the door was broken. The property is motel style which we were a bit iffy about but it was very quiet and no issues. The pool was closed. Breakfast was ok but the staff was on top of restocking everything.

I’m a pretty easy going person. My husband had a hip replacement and I booked this hotel to get a good night sleep and a hot shower. I let the front desk know I’d be checking in between 10-10:30pm. When I arrived there was a sign saying ring the bell on the front desk for service. I rang it, no answer, I called the front desk no answer, rang the bell again no answer. I thought maybe he had to step out. At one point I could hear someone so I rang the bell again and called out. After 20 minutes I decided to just leave and go get another hotel. Just then he showed. Once I got to my room it smelled like someone had been smoking in it and that they tried to cover it up with what smelled like a powerful deodorizer. My eyes instantly started to water. The king bed was cozy. Next morning went to take shower ice cold water. I informed the front desk and got “sorry” I took a cold sponge bath with the tattered wash cloth they provided. Before heading back to the hospital I went to grab a couple yogurts and the refrigerator was hot and all the yougurts were hot.

It’s an affordable Hotel. Should probably be considered a Motel. Room was clean and the staff was helpful. Parking lot was safe The pool/ hot tub area which is advertised hasn’t been in use for over a year. That was disappointing.

Nice Motel for the price!

We loved the price on this motel for the condition. If you don't need or want to stay right downtown where you can walk to everything, we definitely recommend this hotel. Nice sized room and very clean. Please be aware that the pool/hot tub in the bubble dome that this hotel has been known for is NOT open at this time. Kids may be very disappointed but we were not planning on swimming anyway.

CHEAP AND CRAPPY

Holes in wall and in batroom ceiling. Strange odors. Pool was closed no wifi No smart tv. Bed was very conformable. Free breakfast was like warmed up old food. Door was hard to lock. Very small coffee pot kid size. Ice machine was no where close to room for ice. During check in person could not speak english and had issues with security deposit. On 3 different cards came up as declined. But worked at bank near by and all food close by. Told them they are doing something wrong and showed the person funds in account. He said i dont know.
