"We have just returned from a really lovely two night stay at the Wellington. The whole weekend from start to finish was very special and made even better by the staff. Particular mention must go to Ellie who managed a problem for us that was our fault but she went above and beyond to help us work it out. Callum is an absolute ray of sunshine, please don’t ever lose your sparkle and a big thank you to Isaac who carried on in Ellie‘s absence continuing to resolve our problem with great efficiency....

"Very old building, uneven floors gave it character. Very steep steps up to the accommodation level though. No parking, though I thought there was (I guess I misread the information about this place), nearest parking was just round the corner and cost £8 overnight, i.e. 24 hours. This was recommended by the staff when we arrived, not knowing where to park. Next day I asked at nearby Waitrose about free parking and they helpfully pointed out several on-street free parking marked bays which were...

"Lovely village inn with small but lovely menu (may be small as they have only just been able to open with restrictions). Host was very helpful as were his staff. Room was a nice size (we had opted for an executive room) with plenty of hot water, windows that open (no noise at night) and soft towels. In a very quiet village location, the hotel is well located for sightseeing around the Chilterns. Would certainly recommend it. The only downside would be that it seems to close early so if you...

TV aerial cable draped over light fittings, and personally I would’ve liked blackout curtains as the room was very illuminated from outside lighting. but that said I would definitely stay there again. "Modern, clean and well presented. A 10 minute walk to the tube station and about the same to a large chain supermarket. Everything just worked, from the comfy bed to large sofa. One wee note - if you need parking, be aware its a tight fit for a medium sized car. Check with the property before booking. "
