Romora Bay Resort & Marina is a little tired. Our original room was #6 we had to move because the rooms had carpenter ants and was very dirty. It looks like the rooms have not been cleaned in weeks. (Dusty, old dead insects and a smelled very musty and wet) The bed was comfortable and after we moved into room #8 we were happier with the extra space. Similar to room #6 the rooms need a good cleaning with a Vacuum.
We decided to stay at this property because of the proximity to the Marina and We met one of the executives at the PB Boat Show and he spoke so highly of the property. I was really taken back by how unclean the whole property was including the marinas ice area having old fish and bait left in the freezer. Garbage was left around the property and a light was knocked down on the ground and it did not seem like it was getting fixed any time soon. The check in process was easy and the Hotel allowed for an extended check out time. Everyone on the island including the hotel staff was very nice and provided excellent service.
It seems like Romora Bay Resort & Marina is no longer the charming marina it once was the bungalow style rooms and outdoor showers. I we will not be returning unless significant changes to the room cleanliness and upgrades around the property have made.
Rooms were clean, staff was great, amenities were wonderful.

The site is a bit disjointed, owing to apparent reconfiguration to add services or change operational direction. I was entirely confused about the focus and service emphasis. I literally lived on the "edge" of the property and entered and exited without interface with the amenities and general services. The unit could very well have been anywhere on the island, as I did not connect meaningfully to the resort complex based on the configuration. Additionally, signage is not at a premium, and minimal signage would have provided a more rewarding experience, as it would have lent itself to better connections on property. I also think a large deck such as I had in the unit, would benefit from some covering from the elements. I hope this opinion adds value for improvements.
Positives: Great place/Great location. Super friendly staff.
Room for Improvement: Thinking our room may have been touched up recently due to the sloppiness of drops of paint on the floor and door knobs.

The place is beautiful however service wasnt
Not willing to help and when asked for the coffee manager said he will send itbutnever got it!!
On top of it they didnt make any breakfast which makes us leave every morning to get our first coffee!!
Everything is overpriced in the island but it would be worth if they care about guests!!!
Loved the privacy of the cottages. Staff was friendly and accommodating . Bed and pillows were great!! Nice pool overlooking at the ocean . No beach on premises however they are everywhere in the island. Pink sands my fav. Overall had a great fantastic time. Restaurant not part of the resort is amazing. Great Italian food. Romoras grill and bar is also very good. This time it was closed due to low season but we have had drinks and appetizers ,lunch and it was very very good.😀
My company Sea-R.O. Inc. designs and builds desalination systems for island facilities as well as marine systems for boats. We travel throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean and stay at a lot of different hotels.
Romora Bay is a very nice and well maintained facility that I have stayed at previously and will do so again. At check in, was not only walked to my room, but they took the time to let me boot up my tablet so she could make sure I could sign in with the password provided. Nice touch. A personal favorite restaurant on the island, Aqua Pazza is now located on the grounds of Romora Bay property which is an added bonus. Quiet, clean, and comfortable.

Shower floor was nasty. Asked to have it cleaned but I don't believe they tried, nor did they see to care. No one from the hotel followed up. Room was reasonably nice other wise. $600 room should have a clean shower.
Photo is day after we asked to have it cleaned. Bathroom was very small.
Not a soul around for checking in. Front desk and lobby were not open the entire time we were there. No wifi by the fireplace as stated, because the free wifi and the fireplace is in the lobby which was locked up. The hotel book stated breakfast was served from 8am-10am but a worker told me maybe it will be open at 9-10am, so no coffee. On check out I had to find someone to give the key to and she never asked how was our stay! The room was clean and the view was incredible but this island resort gives you the feel you are on your own deserted island within their resort. The place is a little wore down even though it was recently remodeled.
The room was impeccable, so were both the indoor and outdoor showers. Bed was amazingly comfortable and the air conditioner was quieter than most I have encountered. Private deck with chairs and a small table, lawn in front, our room was closest to the water overlooking the marina. The sunsets in the Caribbean are always beautiful, so it was nice to float in the warm waters of the infinity pool and watch another natural beauty unfold as the sun sank in the west. We did not use the bar or restaurant - there was a huge wedding and the guest welcome party happened here, so we left them to their partying and enjoyed other local eateries instead. Would definitely book here again - very close to the pink sand beach which you must walk on to believe - excellent housekeeping staff, plenty of beach & bath towels, free wifi and beautifully kept grounds. Recommend as a great spot to stay on Harbour Island.
Flew some clients in for one night. On the ferry boat ride over to the resort I met the general manager Joe. He found out we were staying at his resort and went above and beyond to make my co pilot and I trip smooth. He called ahead and had staff greet us with golf carts and take our bags to our rooms. Rooms were great, ice cold AC, big comfy beds, and even an outdoor shower connects to the normal indoor shower. We rented a golf cart to get around town and had a blast cruising the island and hanging with locals. Local tiki hut bar on the Main Street is about half a mile down the road. Also a great little Italian place close by. Looking forward to going back
Great resort ! Everything I could've asked for at an affordable price! Restaurants At the resort was the best on the island , we tried everywhere. They even allowed us to do a late checkout as the ferry didn't leave until 340 and checkout time is 11.
This is the second time I have stayed at the Marina and I loved it. There is so much to see and do on Harbour Island. The people are so friendly and fun!
This hotel is very nice. I would recommend it. It is on nice grounds overlooking the water. However, please note that the hotel is not on the beach. The hotel is on the opposite side of the island. The beach is about five blocks away. The attitude of some of the ladies working behind the desk was pretty nasty. They gave the impression that we were bothering them when we asked questions. I would not eat at the hotel. The food and beverage costs were very expensive.
