"Charles was an absolute gentleman. He welcomed me to the property and showed me to my room. It was clean and well appointed - everything as hotel standard! There was a little road noise (although my room was front facing) and it didn't cause any disturbance. The breakfast service and food quality was outstanding! I intend to return when in the area and thoroughly recommend. "

"Grounds are nice. Room was not ready when we arrived (40 minutes late). Room is large with comfortable bedding. Plumbing issues with pipes squealing, when we are not using them but we need to turn on a tap to stop it. Staff are very friendly. Parking is close. Dinner was tasty with good size meals. "

"The guy who owns the property is a character, and he clearly loves the history of the house. However, the rooms are in disrepair—open electrical sockets! Stuff is everywhere. The place still needs a lot of work. It smells throughout the house of cigar or pipe smoke. The B&B itself could be amazing but it needs professional management!"
