Nice place out of the way

No problems.loved the charm.everyone helpful they were full. Did have Internet problems but they were on phone to solve.in a nice neighborhood. Close to Tay bridge that goes to St. Andrews .just 30 min.

Enjoyed our time here

Large room, good bathroom, parking, good location, very helpful staff, nice grounds and garden, quiet, restaurant reasonable, and this older hotel was clean (and getting the maintenance it deserved). All in all, this was a nice place to stay.

Great staff..always helpful and ti please

Adil was most helpful in the restaurant very quick to help as was the older gentleman both fantastic..chefs food amazing and head barman very knowledgeable esp.on whiskeys. .. i would defo recommend this hotel warm welcoming and very friendly

One night!

I hadn't realised that the hotel was on top of (part of) an Indian restaurant. I had to check in at the bar however the staff were very friendly. The room was a single room, reasonable size with an en suite bathroom, which upon my return from dinner had flooded, and the water had overflowed into the room. This was mopped up. The room and bed linen where clean, although the room did look old.

Hotel could be so much more than what it is!

We booked via Expedia a room for 3 adults and 2 children but because "children sleep free" the child's places didn't register and we were only provided with a room with 3 single beds. They offered us another single room, with one bed, for an extra £40, bit since that still left us 1 short we agreed to let the kids sleep in with us, after being promoted extra bedding and towels (which didn't turn up). The staff instead of just apologising, followed it up with blaming Expedia for the system error and moaned that we were undercharged for the room and they would be contacting Expedia for the money. There was no free wifi as listed. We were advised it could be picked up in the bar, but we still couldn't. The bedroom was very dusty. The bath has hairs in it and half a bottle of shower gel at the side. There was also a bandana left from another guest. The room comfort would have been better if we had the beds that we booked. (I have proof of what we booked - but they were not interested and just blamed Expedia)

Dirty hotel

I booked for 2 nights. Arrived Friday late friday night and found the bathroom well below clean. On saturday night which was my second night, I found out that bed was not done, bin not emptied and all they did was to replace the two tea bags and the towel. I will never set foot in this dirty hotel. Keep away. You have been warned.
