Exceptional Resort. Pristine gardens, extremely clean, very professional and hospitible staff, everyone was so kind. The owner was welcoming and spent time going the extra mile. The setting is beautiful, away from the main tourist spots, so if you are looking for a private, peaceful getaway, this is your place! Easy to rent scooters and go exploring as well. Food was excellent as well. Cannot recommend enough. Sarah, travis, davis and jack from Canada.

Very hospitable and enjoyable. The place is a bit isolated from the central town of San Juan, which means not a lot of amenities. However, the resto is excellent! We had the best food on the island here. The staff is very helpful.

This was our second stay at this property as it has become our #1 choice of accomodation on Siquijor. The resort is just exceptional in all aspects of our stay. Jessica and Marcel are the most friendly and thoughtful hosts that we have encountered on our travels so far. The location is close to most tourist attractions.

This property turned out to a joy. Without exception, the staff were cheerful, helpful and kind. They are led by the owner, a jolly Swiss man who built the resort from scratch. The rooms are huge, with nice bathrooms and decorations. (My only niggle is that the shower was lukewarm at best.) The meals in the restaurant were carefully prepared and very tasty. I would heartily recommend it for a stay that is away from it all and different than most resort.

By far the best thing about this place is the staff and owner. Really friendly and kind..they made the stay so enjoyable. Location (for us) was perfect..peaceful area away from the crowds. Hired a moped for our stay and explored most of the island.. the rooms were quiet and comfortable and cleaned daily..highly recommended

Relaxing Stay

We had no problem arriving late and our rooms were as depicted in the photos. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the pool and garden area. We were also given a late checkout which was much appreciated. The hotel arranged a trike back to the ferry at a very reasonable rate. Definitely recommend for a relaxing stay.

Excellent service from Marcel, Jessica and the team. Friendly and helpful always, the food is great (especially if you like sinigang) and it is quiet and peaceful. Spacious and comfortable private cabins and large grounds to go for a quiet stroll after dinner. Clean and well maintained, if I could rate higher, I would.

What an incredibly beautiful resort this place is! Quiet, peaceful, beautiful and the absolute best service! The staff is the BEST! So warm, welcoming, kind and hospitable! If we could have stayed longer we would have. The individual "cabins" are so beautiful and large. Fantastic bathrooms and shower. The food was wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem! If you visit Siquijor, you must make the trip here.

Quiet and restful

This hotel is rather isolated which we loved. The service was great and staff were helpful and friendly. The food was good too... very large serves! The pool is also very welcome. Important to note is that there are many steps to negotiate so if you have problems with your hips, knees or ankles then maybe this is not for you.

Pool was great with large shallow area. Access to ocean swimming. Breakfast was included and was very good. Brought to our porch with no extra charges. Owner Marcel was very helpful with luggage and anything we needed. Very quiet and jungle setting was gorgeous. Hot water in shower and clean new bathroom fixtures. Bed was comfortable and AC worked great. I can't imagine a nicer resort on the island for the price. Only negative was unpaved roads which we encountered everywhere on the island.

A little paradise

Our stay in Kalachuchi was just perfect. The staff made everything so much easier. Need a motorbike? Consider it done. A really early check-in because you took a ferry at 2am, no problem. A massage to relax from your dives? The masseur will come directly to your little house. On top of that the food was delicious and the beds just perfect. We will definitly come back again if we are lucky enough to be back in Siquijor.

A little bit of paradise

Kalachuchi is a wonderfully peaceful little bit of paradise. The villas are spacious, there is direct access to the beach, a big clean pool and very friendly welcoming staff. Easy to get anywhere you want on Siquijor with rented scooters from the hotel and then return for sunset pina coladas by the pool, ready to start the next day with some morning snorkelling and feel like you have the sea all to yourself. The restaurant is a mix of good western and Filipino food. The area hasn’t got the touristy vibe of San Juan so if you’re looking to escape that, Kalachuchi is perfect. About 40 mins in a tricycle from Siquijor port and 20 from Larena port.

The only negative for me is this resort could be physically challenging as there are steps to negotiate between the Accommodation and the Restaurant/Reception. Positives are many. The Swiss Chalet style villas are spacious and the timber work is indeed a work of art. Bed was comfortable. The Aircon works well. Lockable safe. Pool is large and clean. I enjoyed breakfast and dinner and portions are large. Staff go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The view from the Restaurant over the water is photo worthy. Be advised there was a $2k peso refundable deposit so make sure you bring plenty of cash. Definitely recommend

We booked this hotel a day before we arrived. Few hours before we arrived we were informed they would need to change our room had they had booked for someone else long term. The hotel is set by the sea in like a forest which was very pretty. The bungalows the made of wood and very beautiful. The rooms were too dark for to our liking. Unfortunately there to many stairs and uneven gravel for myself has I have a hip problem. We ere only there an hour and my husband's new trainer was stolen and cheers by one of the dogs., We received a food which we never ordered The bread was amazing food options for us was limited. We left after one night it was not for us I am sure it is for others who like being in middle of no where and nothing to do all limited internet. The staff were very pleasant.

A real Island experience

The owners/managing partners and all the staff were all nice, friendly, and professional. My spouse and I felt they genuinely cared about our well being. The property is beautiful, quiet, and quite secluded. The food made in the restaurant (including complimentary breakfast) was delicious and of high quality/freshness. Their kitchen is spotless. We ate almost every meal here during our 12 nights stay. We rented a scooter at the ferry terminal (Siquijor) and hired a tricycle driver to take our luggage to and from the property. It is essential to have a scooter for your stay imo as it would be difficult to find a tricycle once at the property. This property, as with much of the island, have limited to non existent cell phone coverage; so don’t expect to have cell reception. Wi Fi did not work in our first room assignment, but the staff quickly moved us to a room (Sampaguita) that had the strongest Wi Fi, as it was essential for us to have Wi Fi. The restaurant and pool/beach area had good Wi Fi also. Rooms have no coffee/tea, but can be purchased in the restaurant. Room does have a small fridge, and we were provided with an electric kettle upon request to boil water for the tea/coffee we brought ourselves. The corrals in the ocean are about 200 metres from the high tide line, but once you trek out there with your snorkel, it is an absolutely stunning place to snorkel. We enjoyed the tranquility of this place.

Property was very clean well kept the cabins were massive and all hand crafted. I felt like I was in a treeshouse in the jungle the owners were amazing super friendly very helpful will be going back !
