I had a gread stay at Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City. The hotel is in great shape and feels modern and up to date. The staff is super, they are attentative and very service minded. The rooms are big with comfortable beds. Cleaning is good and during my 6 nights there a house cleaning manager checked up on me 3 times to make sure everything was fine. The reception staff are very friendly, service minded and efficient. The pool area is not that big but it's nice and clean and during my time there it was never crowded. When you book you can choose from city view or sea view. To be honest, the view on either side is much to have but please be aware that the city view is facing Sheikh Zayed road and it's a very busy road even at night so if you are a light sleeper I would recommend getting the sea view. The hotel is located in Media/Internet city and around the hotel there is almost nothing to do and you can basically not walk anywhere. The Metro is just across the road but almost impossible to get to so you are dependent on a car to get to and from the hotel. Outside the hotel there are cars that can take you to where you want to go but they are much more expensive than a regular taxi (around 3 times the cost) so talk to the reception and they will help you to order a regular taxi. The valet people are not always helpfull in this, they want to help their frends that owns the cars outside and this is my only complaint I have from my stay. I had a great stay!
