"An unbelievably pleasant stay. Derg Arms was a half way stop for me as I was traveling between Sligo and the north coast of Ireland. For a really good nightly rate i got a well maintained, clean room and a fantastic free breakfast in the morning The entire staff and owner were beyond accommodating and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling."

"Beautiful location, great views of the lough and surrounding countryside. Staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. Food is excellent and great value. The accommodation is good, but looking a little tired. Could do with a refresh in the near future, although there is work going on renewing the pathways. Pity they dont still do the 4x4 driving experience anymore. Love the little ferry to and from the island."

"We only stayed here for one night, on our way back to Belfast to return home from our tour of Ireland. The hotel looked a bit rundown from the outside, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a large, bright reception area and a welcoming receptionist. Our room was ready, so she let us check in an hour early and we went to have a look at our room. We were surprised, after opening the door, to find 2 steps in front of us, leading up to a spacious, modern room. Everything was clean and fresh and the room and bathroom were well equipped, although the shower was more of a trickle. The bar was well stocked and had live music on the night we were there. The restaurant menu looked a bit 'pub grub-y', so we decided to eat out. All in all, a nice hotel which we would be perfectly happy to recommend to other guests."

"check in process really easy, room really lovely - clean smell from moment you walked in, comfortable bed, really friendly staff - particularly the staff in the restaurant on the Friday evening and at breakfast on Saturday. Quality of food and ample car parking space."

"We were greeted by Johnny who was a superb host. Our room was large with a balcony and chairs. The community center was adjacent to the property with a walking track which was fabulous on overcast days when you want to walk but not get caught in the rain. We had asked if there was a refrigerator we could keep a few things in and within an hour or two Johnnyโs dad John had bought a new refrigerator for us to use. We stayed for a week and had somewhere to explore daily. The water pressure and hot water were great in the shower. We truly enjoyed our stay and John and Johnny were super hosts. ๐น"

"Most important was the friendly pleasant staff . The hotel is comfortable with everything you need provided in your room . Meals are excellent .Our second visit and we will definitely return again. Good Northern Irish humour and stories with staff and customers . Fabulous relaxing weekend"
