"Arrived to a sleeping staff member at check in, room had hair on both bed sheets, a dirty tooth brush left in bathroom, no lock on bathroom door, phone not working to call front desk and no hot water through the night and morning. I’ve never been so unhappy with a stay. This was not by far cheap to stay so not sure what is happening but would not recommend or return to this property"

"While doing a search for motels on L.I., I found that prices had doubled and tripled from when I stayed at another location this past March but I found this gem for the price that other hotels were charging months ago and investigating further, found a majority of very positive reviews. If you need a negative, it would be the tight parking between the buildings but other than that, I would stay there again."

"This is a downtown location with a bit limited parking but otherwise has a small restaurant in it and good coffee area. Within walking distance of some good restaurants and is in safe area. Very friendly and accommodating staff as well."

"The chalet had charm. The one complain I have is that they messed up my reservations. i had booked two rooms and I called to confirm the day off and they told me that i only had one room. I showed them my credit card charges that showed two rooms were charged for. I had to scramble to find another hotel and ended up costing me close to $400 for the night and turned out it was a lousy hotel. It was rated 5 out of 10 but in the rush to get the room i totally missed the ratings. The Chalet...

"The property is very old and dingy. I found the rugs to be dirty and the bathroom was moldy around the tub and shower. The TV only worked partially continuing to go in and out. I requested to change rooms and they did accommodate me to a better room. More than likely it is my last time at the hotel, even though it is very close to where I want to be."

"Kept waiting to check in. Bar tender didn't know anything about making drinks. Refigerator made loud buzzing sound, had to turn off to sleep. My wife left a new top in the room, front desk said nothing there, someone obviously took it."

"Room was very clean, and bed was very comfortable. I had one issue with the hair dryer. When I tried to use the one in my room, it ran for a brief time, then quit. I called the front desk to see if they had a replacement, and they did. So, I went downstairs to retrieve it because it was early and before the housekeeping staff reported for work. Unfortunately, the second dryer didn’t work either, so I had to abort drying my hair since I needed to get on the road."

"Owners were very friendly. We were arriving late at night but they were there to greet us and get us registered. Helped with heavy bag. Breakfast was ready when advertised. Waffle maker, jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches, cereal, muffins and coffee and juice. Would go back."

"TV didn't work. I head to repaired the cable connection. Microwave didn't work. No breakfast offered. My room was quiet and had a very comfortable bed."
