This is an old roadside motel that has been fixed up and is very nice. The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and I could park right outside my room, which was important to me. Restaurant right next-door with great food and good service.
The whole place was just cool. So much character. Id love to hear the story behind the room i stayed in but left too early to ask.
The restaurant was good, nice that it was open 24 hours.
The semi mechanic across the parking lot was loud, but shut down at a decent time.
Loved the old time feel of the motel but the room did not have a coffee pot nor a phone. The window did not have a screen and did not latch securely. Really outdated but still a pleasant stay.
The kitchen was nothing more than a microwave, mini fridge, and kitchen sink so there was no cooking except for microwave cooking. I had no hot water in my room for the 2 days that we were there. The town is small, so getting anyone to look at my vehicle wasn't happening. With extremely high prices of everything my son and I had no choice but drive my unsafe car north to Casper. I also wouldn't stay at the interstate motel because the manager is psycho. She accused my son and I of untrue things, yelled and screamed at us, came and started things with us while we were sitting in our car making a couple of phone calls, and after telling her that the gentleman with us stole a bunch of cash from us, and was being abusive...she rented him a room after starting a bunch of stuff with my little boy and I. She must be lonely and desperate....hope she got what she wanted! Short story long.... don't break down there!
The room was nothing like described. It was tiny and dirty. Booked a room with a queen bed, but it had a double bed. No separate eating area. No kitchen (I don't believe a tiny refigerator and an old microwave counts as a "kitchen"). The curtains on the window were transparent and the windows all look right at the parking lot. So you could see in the window from outside, which didn't make us feel very safe at night. Do not recommend at all.
Very poor condition of room. Cracked tile and horrendous grout in bathroom. Toilet felt like it might fall through floor. Lamp had electrical tape wrapped around the cord. Carpet was terribly stained. This dated and haphazard room needs a reno. There were some positives including the kind lady at check in who got us taken care of quickly, reasonable price, awesome water pressure in the shower, reasonably clean sheets and towels, a built in suitcase rack that allowed us to keep our things off of the frightful floor, and a functional air conditioner to cut the very hot summer day.

First bad service there
We have stayed at this locally owned motel for 7 years. We have always had the best, most friendly service every time we have been there. I’m not sure if management has shifted since we stayed last but this stay was enough to make us reconsider staying there again.
Check-in time was listed at 3 pm. We arrived to town early, about 130. I went in to ask if we could check in early. I was told no, they hadn’t had a chance to clean the rooms yet since there was a state fair parade that morning. I totally understood and said I would come back at 3. That’s not the issue.
I showed back up at 3, only to be told at 330 that there was no rooms cleaned that they could give to me. I said I was told to come back at 3 at 130. Clearly they knew I was coming back so I would think they would be expecting I would be checking in. The man said “you can cancel your reservation and I can help you book somewhere else”. I said no, I already paid for this room, I’m not canceling, I won’t be refunded in time to use that money for another room somewhere else, a more expensive room. He said you can come back at 4 and I’ll have a room for you. I said this is unacceptable. Mind you, there were other people in the lobby also being told that they had no rooms to put them in yet and they would have to come back.
I came back at 4, finally got in a room which had 2 beds, I paid for one. I didn’t need 2 beds. Both were slanted and uncomfortable and felt like air mattresses. Horrible stay.
