This hotel is a perfect blend of style at a great price. I booked it because of the separate living areas and it did not disappoint. The staff, the room, and the breakfast was perfect! The only thing to consider is that you’ll need a vehicle to move around since the hotel is on a stretch of road that has no walking amenities. I would highly recommend it if you need a place to rest for 3 or more guest!

Problems from earlier reviews seen to have been addressed. Desk is staffed (staff is very friendly and accommodating)so if you have trouble with online check in, you're covered. AC still doesn't exist in building A, get B or C if traveling in summer. Make sure you have a car if you plan to start here.

Brilliant hotel no faults at all

Very impressive hotel. Easy to navigate and get around, breakfast wasn’t massive however enough to fill you up! Staff were very helpful and attentive. Closest train station is a very short drive with cheap parking or about 25 min walk for anyone needing to use it. The room was very nice however only a small fan so did get quite warm at night. Overall was a very good stay with no complaints .

La Maison Suisse - Döttingen offers remarkable, personalized service from beautiful rooms, pillows, and a sumptuous mattress. I was incredibly impressed by the attention to detail and attentiveness of all staff. Not only do I recommend this excellent hotel to anyone visiting Döttingen but I am already planning my return.

Family vacation

Clean, spacious and comfortableroom for family of 5. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing and catered to us per our requests. Location is very close to most towns by drive. It would help if the laneway had a sign indicating the hotel. Gps guided perfrctly though.

(+) The rooms were nice, clean and equipped with most of the things that you might require. Looked like a new property. There are a few Supermarkets nearby. The price was quite reasonable compared to hotels / apartments in Zurich. (-) The location is far from Zurich. The hotel is located 5-7 minutes drive / 25 minute walk from Dottingen train station but getting back and forth to this station is a challenge as it's very hard to find taxis and uber in this area. So best way to be there is with a rented car. I think the hotel itself should invest and arrange a small shuttle coach (even 3/4 CHF per person) from hotel to Dottingen train station every hour or every alternate hour. This will solve a major issue and will attract more people to stay there as prices are reasonable and rooms and over facitiy is nice and clean.

First, the accommodations were fantastic. I chose a room with two twin beds, which was bright and spacious, allowing for easy movement and a comfortable stay. The room also featured a functional working table, perfect for catching up on tasks or planning the day’s activities. A fully equipped kitchen was an added bonus, especially with a grocery store conveniently located next to the hotel. This allowed me to save on the high costs typically associated with Switzerland by preparing some meals in the room. I enjoyed saving on lunch and indulging in delightful dinners. The bed was another highlight. I prefer a firm mattress, and the one at this hotel was so comfortable it felt just like home. For travelers accustomed to air conditioning, you’ll be pleased to know that the room temperature remained a consistent and comfortable 71°F, without the noise and discomfort sometimes associated with hotel air conditioning. I had breakfast at the hotel a few times, and the options were consistent with other hotels. However, the quality stood out. My sunny-side-up eggs were perfectly cooked and tasted excellent, which made me wonder if the hotel had higher standards or if it was a reflection of European quality in general. The hotel itself was relatively new, and the staff’s dedication to maintaining its pristine condition was evident. They were always busy cleaning and greeting guests, which added to the overall positive experience. I hope your stay is as enjoyable as mine was!

No AC they say open the window and turn on the fans but there are no screens so we go bit all night by mosquitoes moths and flies don’t book here the bathrooms are all accessible so probably they might have been board and care facility that didn’t finish and acquired by a hotel group

Everything in the room was great. However, we were expected to bring our own dishwashing liquid to wash the dishes provided in the room. Breakfast had a lot of options, but the eggs and potatoes were cold. Nice parking garage, but the signage was lacking.
