"The cabin was an excellent calming retreat listening to only the sounds of the birds and nature. The steps up to the cabins can be a bit steep (up to 30cm/ 12 inches) but assuming you are there to hike Park Tayrona it's a good warm up for the trails in the park. Breakfast and dinners were excellent and Kevin our front desk person, arranged an early breakfast so we could get to the hikes at break of dawn. "Clean hostel, short walk from the beach. Friendly staff, nice restaurant. Lights continuously flickered which was annoying but the WiFi worked most of the time (cuts in and out sporadically). No hot water. A few small shops nearby for drinks and snacks."

"We had a great stay at Yachay. The staff is very caring. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious. The hotel is surrounded by nature and therefore very relaxing. I wished there was a larger pool but we appreciated the jacuzzi and made good use of it. The hotel is very close to the entrance of the park but has some steep stairs, therefore not for people with mobility issues. You have to get tickets for the park as the hotel is inside the park. Entrance to the park is only until 3 pm so you need to plan for that. The room we got was nice, there is no TV, but not a big deal for us. A/C worked fine except for one night when it turned off due to issues with the power grid in general, it went back up eventually. The room was cool enough with open windows alone though. Bed was confortable and the room was very clean. We had a car and were able to park in the hotel and just drive to the beginning of the trail to the beach in early morning which was very convenient. I would definitely come back when visiting Parque Tayrona."
