"This charming castle is truly a gem among Umbrian fields. Set on a hill, it's a very well-maintained and clean hotel, with a pool overlooking the nearby valley. The staff was amazing, and especially Daniela at the reception desk who made us feel like at home. "Friendly staff, clean rooms, and good parking. Hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the train station where you can take the cable car up to the old city. Best if you have a car since there is free parking below the train station and you’ll need to take the cable car into the old city. Breakfast is fair and available daily. Sound travels from the hallway as well as the street below, esp if you have your window open. AC is in the room but seemed to be hard to modify and the room stayed warm....

The location is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the service was excellent throughout our visit. Breakfast was simply amazing and a real highlight each morning. We also thoroughly enjoyed the excellent restaurant and the resort’s facilities, which made it a lovely place to relax and unwind. We highly recommend Altarocca and would happily return."
