"The room said non smoking but it reeked of cigarettes. The furniture looked really old. The mattress had a dent in it like it has been used for 30 years. I didn’t sleep well at all because of the uncomfortable mattress. There were no pool towels and when they were brought out, they were tiny. I’ve always thought best westerns were nice but this felt like a motel for the price of a hotel. The breakfast was okay but could use more fresh fruit and more options. Parking was easy and plenty and...

"Room was small but clean. Amenities were basic but sufficient; about what you'd expect for the price. Very easy to walk 10-15 min to cafes and restaurants in Mill Valley, easy access to Sausalito, Woods, and hiking in Marin. Perfect for what I needed."

"The Surf Lodge was modern and clean, however when you can hear the guests next door talking and then snoring all night you don't get a good nights rest for $400+ a night. We stayed in a Queen room and it was tight, the bathroom was narrow with a small sink and shower area. Our one lucky score was a parking spot that didn't originally come with the room, definitely a saving grace on a holiday weekend. We won't be staying there again as we didn't wake well rested."

Planning to stay again already, next time bringing my son with us who is a foodie. Top restaurants right next door with amazing waterfront views."

"The hotel does not have someone at the front desk at all time so you have to let them know what time you will be arriving so they can check you in. They do have water and coffee and there are places around the corner to grab breakfast, but the hotel itself does not have a restaurant."
