Excellent Location

Room size is perfect and balcony views are excellent. Nice property, clean and well maintained. Staff are good. Food is good but price is little bit high.

Very good location, beautiful views and good room.

We had a good stay in the hotel. However, the food quality needs to improve a bit, eg. a toaster should be kept in the breakfast room, so that fresh toast can be made and not hard toasts made in advance.

Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful time at this resort ...best for family ....kids enjoyed the open spaces, trees and the playing garden at the resort. If you love to wake up to the tunes of humming birds...KTDC tea county is the place to be in.....only area of improvement would be with the food variety they provide.

Comfortable hotel, close to city centre

KTDC Tea County is an excellent property with a beautiful landscape, well appointed rooms. Each block and each room at different levels, provide a good view. Staffs were courteous. Housekeeping services were up to the mark. Nice place to have a relaxed holiday. Close to Munnar town centre and to the market, at the same time away from all the hustles and bustles as the property is located high up on the hill away from the main road. The food is also good and the buffet has a reasonable spread.

Stay is comfortable. Room heater was noisy, hotel staff was kind in replacing but heater noise continued. Breakfast was excellent. Food during dinner was also very good. Local Kerala cuisine was not available. Coffee and tea rate could have been reasonable.

Feedback on F&B Manager Swaminathan

We booked 4 nights and 5 days at the hotel. The rooms were big and comfortable. However, we had major complaints with the F&B section of the hotel. To start off, we had issues communicating with staff who mostly understood only Malayalam. We are South paws and speak Kannada and Tamil yet found it impossible at most times to get through to the hotel staff. On the day of arrival we had lunch at the restaurant and we found the vegetables used to cook the food to be stale. The F&B manager I think it was Mr. Swami or Swaminathan was an extremely rude person. He spke rudely to my wife when we were trying to explain to him the food request we were making and how his serving staff just did not understand our simple food request. We later reported this to the hotel management. The behaviour of Swamy was so bad that we decided to cut short our trip by a day and checked out of the hotel a day before scheduled check out. The manager at the hotel tried his best to address the issue and assured that he would speak with the General Manager about this. I am not too sure of this would happen but would leave that in good faith. All in all good hotel room, good location, communication is a concern and F&B definitely needs to improve.

Great stay in Munnar

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent - close enough to munnar town, but set in really beautiful grounds. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, very accommodating to our requests. Room furnishings are a bit dated, but it is kept clean. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Fun time in KTDC Munnar

Best resort in the city, very clean, great view, overall nice property. I stayed in KTDC Kovallam last year and that was a bit better than in terms of food and cultural activities at night. Perhaps the cultural fest was only for last week of December. But good to see such clean govt maintained resorts.

Hotel liegt auf einem Hügel direkt neben dem Stadtzentrum, dass gut zu Fuß in ca. 5-10 min zu erreichen ist; sehr gepflegte Anlage, Zimmer OK; einen Fön fürs Bad gab es allerdings erst auf Nachfrage; WLAN klappte auch erst nach zweimaligem Nachfragen; Personal freundlich, Essen OK

Comfortable rooms located close to city good food a bit costly but worth it for the kind of ambience. Recommended plan for taxis for sight seeing as over all cost shoots up if.taxi is hired from the hotels travel desk . All in all a memorable experience.
