"This hotel is stunning. It sits on a lovely pond by the lake, with exquisite grounds and a gorgeous courtyard whose water feature is impressive by day or night. The lobby is enormous and austere, the spa delightful and the pool beautiful as well, though I'd recommend finding hours when it's less busy.
Breakfast was bountiful and delicious as well, with a great selection of varied food.
Our room was very comfortable, having a view of the pond is very calming. Service was exemplary, we enjoyed...

"It is such a beautiful space, one is immediately transported to serenity. For those appreciating gardens and plants, this place is tastefully landscaped with wonders at every turn. I want to thank especially Helen at the front desk who helped me immensely with my travel plans, helping me to bridge communications with the locals with, helping me with change requests and organising all that I needed. "Although a bit rustic and somewhat hard to find, it is superbly situated inside the South Gate of Ancient Dali and a great value. It is very clean and comfortable, has what I would consider some Japanese touches, and where else can you sit in a modern bathtub gazing out the windows at the Himalayan foothills?"
