"Very basic as expected, however staff had stayed to check us in when we arrived very late and were extremely nice and helpful. Rooms basic but bed comfortable and clean bedding. All we wanted for an overnight stop."

The main house is beautiful (some renovation work is ongoing but is unobtrusive); our room was very comfortable; breakfast was very good; the swimming pool was fantastic and the welcome we received (from reception staff and from the owner and his wife) was very warm and friendly. "For the price, this property is great. I wouldn't take my family on vacation here, but for 1 night passing through, it checked all the boxes. Though the hotel itself and all its furnishings are very dated, everything was perfectly clean. The bathtub, toilet, flooring, etc. were all likely from the 1960's but their cleaning staff does a great job and I was not bothered by the fact that things were old. Some downsides: No AC, internet didn't work in our room, TV is very small, no elevator (and...
