"The location is wonderful for exploring the Alhambra area. You can walk to the Sacromonte and Albaicin areas as well. It was nice to have a little kitchen. My one main complaint was that i booked this property specifically for the shuttles that were offered (first thing mentioned on Expedia). "The Meliá Granada has an excellent location, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our stay was affected by a significant issue with the air conditioning. During an extreme heat wave, the AC in our room simply was not working. A maintenance technician came to inspect it, but instead of fixing the problem, he only changed the thermostat from 18°C to 17°C and repeatedly tried to convince us that this would solve the issue, even though the room remained very hot. It was frustrating to have our concerns dismissed rather than properly addressed. At around 1:00 a.m., after another uncomfortable attempt to sleep, we contacted the front desk again. The night receptionist came to our room, immediately confirmed that the air conditioning was indeed not working, and promptly moved us to another room where we were finally able to sleep. We really appreciated how professionally and efficiently the receptionist handled the situation. Overall, the hotel has many positives—excellent location, comfortable rooms, and good staff—but the handling of the maintenance issue fell well below expectations, especially during a heat wave. Had the problem been taken seriously from the beginning, the inconvenience and disruption to our night could have been avoided."

"A lovely hotel a little way from Nerja town... About a 50 min walk (which I like). You can walk all the way along the coast to Neja (very pretty!). Food was okay for price. Pool nice. Good for a family and couples. Rooms are big. GREAT football bar found. .. Opposite road up on hill. Entertainment didn't seem that great. Early bed for us."

"Our stay at the Palacio de Santa Ines was really lovely! We had a view of the Alhambra, the hotel had a lovely riad-type layout, and the AC worked great, which was truly fantastic given that we were there during a heat wave and it was more than 100F/37C out for several of the days we were there. The hotel is in a wonderful convenient location for walkers, close to everything in the Albaicin - shops, restaurants, the Cathedral, Sacromonte. The front desk staff were uniformly helpful and wonderful with everything and gave us advice on the bus system, places we wanted to go to, use of the Granada Card, coordination of a taxi to the airport early in the morning, etc. We also had laundry done, and both the front desk and the laundry service did a great job. The only reason I removed a star was that the card keys we were given for our room had consistent issues throughout our stay. The initial keys we were given did not work, and after we were given replacement keys, the replacements stopped working after about a day and we again had to get replacements. The front desk was extremely lovely and helpful about all of this, but it was a hassle, particularly when we returned to our room twice after a long day of walking around outside in the heat only to find we were locked out again. Other than that, though, we would definitely stay at the Palacio de Santa Inez again!"
