"Staff very friendly"

"I did not like there was no thermostat in the bedroom. We were on the upper floor and could not get the temperature in the room below 72° so I ended up sweating most night."

"The Baranof is a lovely old hotel and we enjoyed our stay. It's very convenient to restaurants and shops, with an attached laundry that was clean and came in handy. They had staffing issues when we were there, so they were unable to offer dinner, but the buffet breakfast was good. Their heating system is very enthusiastic, and there were no in-room controls, so were were told to open the windows if we wanted the room cooler. This seems like an inefficient way to handle the problem, but that's...

"Nice clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean. Gym was decently equipped. Very convenient to the airport- free shuttle was a nice convenience. Good option if you need a non-resort type hotel to explore Fairbanks. "

"It’s an okay place to stay. I like the bathroom sink, which is huge and great for bathing in. What I hate the most was the bedsheets. They were not cleaned at all. In fact, the comforter had dirty bleach on it. I got a cough from sleeping with it. However, they have a great parking spot and friendly staff. Oh, also, it was cold in my room sometimes but the heater they put in the room didn’t work. It’s broken."

"Great property, clean, comfortable and best of all with great orientation to see the Auroras. Breakfast was a bit minimalistic (frozen items in the cabin’s fridge). Felt awkward not to ever meet any Staff at the lobby but they were always quick to answer email or phone. We recommend it !"

"I had stayed at another hotel before coming here, and that hotel was dirty and dingy compared to here. Comfort Inn was clean and bright with modern furnishings and rooms. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was good, and the staff were so helpful and kind to me and allowed me to check in early and also gave me the Alaska resident discount. Would absolutely stay here again, and I recommend it to anyone coming to Fairbanks for an affordable, clean hotel stay."

"Very clean rooms, breakfast was the best so far with a great variety, there is a restaurant in the building. There was a slight mildew smell upon entering one hallway, but it had been raining a lot - it is Alaska... It's right next to the harbor and mountains all around so great scenery. Lobby had a fireplace which was nice to play cards next to. We did not check any other facility offers."
