"Lovely property in a prime position just a few minutes walk to the beach. Rooms (superior) very comfortable and clean, staff were lovely and attentive. Food in the restaurant was excellent, but the service was slow. We pre ordered our breakfast on the day we left as we needed to get on the road as it was a long journey, that worked out well. The waterfront just up the road is worth a visit. Would recommend."

"DO NOT GO THERE The hotel markets itself as a beach front hotel for families... You are required to pre-pay your stay. However, when you arrive, you will find a hotel situated meters from big and dirty industry, all premises deeply polluted by iron ore dust. The red dust is everywhere, red stuff running down from the roofs. And you can feel the smell of ore in the air at all times. No family should be staying in such conditions. And no kids should be playing on such polluted beaches. We left...

"We loved this place! The ocean view from our room was spectacular. We checked out a few other places in town that are more expensive and the view from the Linhof is the best! Breakfast was excellent. Shirley, the manager who runs this place, merits special mention. She helped us get our bags upstairs, served us our breakfast and always had a smile and a kind word. We will definitely return."
