"Arrived before 10 am to leave bag but was given my room there and then which had also been upgraded . This was great and the host is just so friendly and helpful . "

"The host couldn't have done more for us. The Melrose is convenient for the shops although there was a short uphill walk to get back. The room although compact was clean, the bedding was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good, cereal, orange juice, Tea or coffee and a full english and there was also the offer of Manx kippers if you wanted them.. There are a lot of stairs up to the rooms but that is typical of the B&Bs in Douglas. If I have one slight criticism it's that...

"Perfect access to TT Grandstands and Fan Village. Straight walk up the hill with a few restaurants along the way. Dora (propretior) was very attentive and accommodating. Thanks"

"Lovely hotel. My room was very homely and comfortable. I was on the top floor so had a view of the sea, which was only a couple of minutes walk away. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again. "

"Central location, close to bus stops, Cindy the host was lovely and our stay lived up to all the previous reviews we read. Lovely clean room, nice bed, quiet street, had our own kitchenette and living room and bathroom, it was pretty much like renting a whole apartment but cheaper! We felt like we had moved house and it was our own apartment! Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone! "
