Skeleton staff of six did an amazing job and must be commended.
Lovely spot, but looks as though it will go to the dogs if Orion doesn't wake up. Are they in financial trouble?"

"The hotel is conveniently located near attractions in the Central Drakensberg. Check-in was easy and efficient. We had a problem with our air conditioner, which was swiftly resolved after reporting the issue. Parking is conveniently located close to the rooms. Breakfast was good with a good selection of food. Overall, a good experience and good value for money."

"The room was very clean and the grounds were stunning. The old colonial style in the bar and restaurant with all of the history attached to it are characterful. The staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms are a little tired in places but that does not detract from the ambiance. "

"What a stunning location, and a great friendly lodge with excellent food and ambience. Ron was a really great guide to Spion Kop, and also an excellent host at dinner etc.

"Etwas ältere Unterkunft, ausserhalb des Dorfes. Muffiger Geruch im Zimmer, nicht sauber, musste zuerst einen halb ausgetrockneten Frosch mit einem haufen Spinnweben am Körper aus dem Badezimmer entsorgen...
War früher sicher gut, doch wenn man nichts pflegt und nicht renoviert sieht es eben so aus.
Eher nicht zu empfehlen."
