"I made a mistake when I booked this hotel. Should have been for 2 nights and I only booked one night. Staff told me they would let me know if a room became available, they did not and when I called front desk they did not have any notes on my situation. I was told there may be a room me could stay in but he had to check on it and would call me back. Never called and when I stopped at the desk he said it was better for me to find another place. I understand this was my error but in the time I was waiting for an answer, we lost out on some hotel rooms. First hey should have responded to me in the morning had someone done their job. Secondly they should have been honest up front about the other room."

10/10 Excellent
"Hotel Savoy Bern is an awesome place, in a prime location next to the main train station in the old downtown. It is very clean, quiet and most importantly the air conditioning works. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful with anything you need. The only downside at this point I would say it’s breakfast should be included in the price, not $27 per person per day extra. We decided to not pay for the breakfast as there are plenty of other options nearby."

"Check-in was a shambles. The room I’d booked was not available, therefore I was downgraded to a sub-quality room. I had booked for 6 nights, the hotel admitted liability stating they’d stuffed up. Rooms do not have air conditioning, they have fans. If you want a portable air conditioner it costs 25 franks per day (this was waived due to their stuff up). I ended up in the crappy room 3 nights and the correct room 3 nights. Errors like this should not happen. Management was very nice."

"This is just an amazing hotel in the perfect location--right at the entrance to the old city and directly adjacent to the train station. Our room was clean and well appointed, and I can't say enough about the staff, especially the desk clerk who helped us figure out the Aare swimming logistics, She even provided us with a hotel branded dry bag for floating down the river. My only comment is that the AC was not that strong, but the staff did provide us with a supplemental AC unit which cooled the room down considerably. HIGHLY recommend !"
