"Great hotel. Sraff were very friendly & professional at all times. I did have to ask for non-slip bath mat as our shower was over the bath & there was nothing to hold onto to get in & out. The pool,there were some tiles missing. Although that didnt prevent anyone from swimming it didnt look good. Breakfast was good & restaurant was good too"

"Sheets and towels were a bit stained and the bed and pillow were hard and not very comfortable. But the building is beautiful and located just a 15minute walk out the of the main area. We enjoyed our stay overall."

"We were in the cheapest room type so we weren't expecting a view but in fact we could see sideways across the bay and inland which was very green. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished with plenty of storage. It had two chairs and a little table which means you don't always have to sit on the bed. "Staff were perfect. Location could not have been better. Room was as expected - maybe a little tired but housekeeping was to a high standard. Food was ordinary IMO, nothing to complain about but a little disappointing as they do boast about their buffet breakfasts and international evening offerings. Overall a good experience in a hotel with a fascinating history and charm."

"A lovely hotel right on the beach with fabulous views but somehow we were a bit underwhelmed. Maybe that everyone except the staff were 10-20 years older than us, maybe the decor needed updating, maybe the random fridge sitting right in the middle of the bedroom floor, maybe the fact that our 2 special occasions weren't acknowledged in any way... "Hotel was immaculately clean, staff were super friendly, delicious breakfast and a good choice of evening meals. Lovely gardens, with a brilliant swimming pool and hot tub. Films and entertainment in the evenings. Although out of town, the courtesy bus and public buses were close and frequent. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel."

"Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Teppichböden sind alt und riechen. Der Aufzug hört 10 Stufen vor der eigentlichen Etage auf. Das Obst zum Frühstück stammte aus Konserven, der Kaffee aus der Thermoskanne. Das Personal schien wenig bis kein Interesse für die Gäste zu haben. Für den Preis und 3 Sterne bin ich eine andere Qualität gewöhnt."

Access to and from the car park onto the coast road awkward and poorly signposted. Just be mindful that the function room can be noisy over the weekend late into the evening and noise travels!!"
