"Our room on the second floor was clean and had blinds to keep out the light at night. It was adequate but, no doubt to keep in style with being the oldest hotel in Great Britain, it wishes to retain an oldie worldie charm so the decor may appear outdated.
Our bathroom could do with a revamp as the toilet seat was loose and one of the shower heads was leaking and wouldn't stay in position.
Breakfast was the 'help yourself style' and there was sufficient choice. However, the breakfast room seemed...

"Lack of facilities due to Covid and a planned refurbishment. Hard pressed staff were doing best "

"Would have given a 5 star review but unfortunately neither me or my wife could have a shower, water would only come out at super hot no matter how I tried to ad cold it just stayed boiling hot.
Both had to wash in the sink as a consequence.
We were in room 6"
