"By far the best of the “value” hotels in the area. No frills, but far cleaner and maintained than the nearby competition. Night clerk remembers you and seems to work every day. Not much of a continental breakfast but the coffee is hot. Bring a bigger cup than provided. Blackout curtains lap set your alarm. Quiet the nights I stayed there."

"Issues arose upon entering the room they put us in as right away there was a live cockroach on one of the bed pillows. Room was generally clean yet where were more roaches? Pool was locked and not open on a day with 100 degrees, no notification of it not being out of order. Breakfast was very good and the staff was helpful. Did not report roaches in the room as that would create more problems and possible anger from the staff."

"A little disappointed, upon arrival, the bedsheets were not clean and needed to be replaced - staff was very friendly and willing to make things right, but it kind of makes you wonder what other Shortcuts might have been utilized - never good to have a bad first. Impression."

Well lit parking lot. HEB grocery store across the freeway and plenty of nearby dining options. Just a couple miles from historic downtown area."
