"Mattresses are in bad shape, so worn you roll to the middle. Never saw a staff member at The Lodge other than check in at main hotel whom was very pleasant and accommodating. Place just looks tired inside but was very quiet in The Lodge which I appreciate for a hotel. "

"The owner was lovely and very friendly. The hotel was right up my alley, I love anything to do with history. Very clean and well maintained for such an older building. The view of the river is amazing. I didn’t see much of the town, had a long drive and left early the next morning."

"The rooms are small and very outdated! Very surface level cleaning, what’s seen is cleaned, so bring slippers to walk around in. Also make sure to bring ear plugs because the walls are thin and you hear everything going on outside all night long. Avoid rooms on the 1st floor and in the front of the building. Most of the outlets in the nightstands won’t hold anything so good luck charging your phones next to the bed. If you’re just staying one night then it should be fine."

"Very nice stay, clean, staff was excellent. Breakfast was just right! Our breakfast hostess was exceptionally friendly, helpful and over-the-top great!"

"Breakfast had normal offerings, breakfast area was clean. Our room was mostly clean, found random candy wrappers laying on nightstand. The traffic noise is something to consider, my hubs is a light sleeper, so bothered him more than I. We would stay here again though."

"the breakfast was good, staff were friendly, our room had a fridge in a cabinet that was hard to get to with my wheelchair, but everything else was nice and spacious. we had a nice wheelchair accessible shower. Also there was plenty close parking."
