"Lovely hotel. Great location by the train station. If you're looking for something in the city center, this might not be the hotel for you - but as a someone pass through and stopping in Basel for a night, it was perfect. Affordable for Switzerland. Very large rooms. We were there during a heatwave and not only was the AC great, but the hotel had ice and water. Very good internet (I had some work video calls and was a little nervous after traveling to some other hotels around Europe). Would 100% stay there again. Felt like it was a great find. "

"We enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean, spacious and bed was comfy. Nice hot drinks in the lobby. Staff was very welcoming and helpful! It’s close to Rose Garden with a good restaurant there and an amazing view of old town, very convenient bus stops near the hotel to get anywhere. Plus Coop supermarket is next to the hotel. Good location! Nice rooftop terrace."

"Great Location. We used it as a central spot to take trains to the scenic sites. Did a few day trips. Spent one day exploring Bern. Easy accessible, bus, tram, train and lots of food options around. Breakfast staff and front desk staff were excellent. "

"Rooms were comfortable, the only issue i would say is the additional bed for child was a ver small sofa. Not one that opens into a bed, just a sofa with bedding. If this had been clearer when booking i would have booked a bigger room. Other than that everything was good"

"The perfect hotel on a budget! This place has hostel vibes in the best possible way. The rooms are small but incredibly clean, modern, and pretty. The bedding was fluffy and so comfortable, and the shower was hands down my favorite of our entire Europe trip. While there isn’t a fridge in the room, there’s a great common area with a kitchen and coffee/tea machines where you can prepare food. There are also lots of cozy sitting areas that make it easy to enjoy takeout or grocery store meals. The location is fantastic—just an easy 8–10 minute walk from the train station, right in the beautiful old city of Bern. We were able to walk to all the major old city sights within 3–4 hours. On top of that, the shopping options in this area are endless—the best we experienced anywhere in Switzerland. There are also countless restaurants nearby and an immense selection of grocery stores, making it incredibly convenient for any type of traveler. Our particular room was one of the few that looked directly out onto a cement wall. We mentioned this to the host, who kindly invited us to meet in the common area (likely to try to switch our room), but since we were only there briefly and had already gone out exploring, we didn’t follow up. Even so, we really appreciated that the host was open to feedback. And in the end, that room did have the upside of extra privacy and quiet compared to others. "The staff, particularly Natalia, were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of selection. Very close to Old Town although it was 58 steps down. Remember you must come back up! We opted out of room cleaning for our short stay and we were rewarded with refreshments. Excellent idea. Would definitely recommend."
