"Renovations are planned so we knew what to expect. Very dated but lovely old building. Staff were great and did their best. Great breakfast and comfy bed. Our stay a bit uncomfortable due to extreme heat. Despite this we enjoyed our stay."

"Great place to stay with only a one minute walk †o the beach across the hotel's garden.
The room was fine but the tv was a bit small to watch the tennis - joke.
The breakfasts were excellent and the staff very helpful."

"Lovely staff, spotless hotel, and superb seafront location. Even our dog was given a breakfast sausage. Very friendly and welcoming. My only concern was that the hotel is advertised as having parking. Technically yes this is correct but it’s extremely limited and we were told it’s not available after booking."

"Welcoming staff and nice bedroom overlooking Fore Street (can be noisy with passing traffic). Pub food good. Plenty of car parking."

"This is a truly excellent hotel which we thoroughly recommend.
Traditional welcome, clean and comfortable, first class breakfasts and great dinner menus.
Comfortable and well appointed bedrooms.
All the staff very friendly including the owners.
Within walking distance of Sidmouth town and the Sea.
Can't wait for our next visit"
