"A beautiful property not far from the town centre. Free tuk tuk into town daily. Trips were arranged easily for us by the staff. Our tuk tuk driver Sambo was excellent. Food was superb, breakfast was cooked freshly for you and the evening meals were lovely sat by the pool. Cocktails great! Rooms were a good size and comfortable. Highly recommended."

"Die Unterkunft selber ist wirklich sehr gut: sauber, schön eingerichtet, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch der Besitzer war total freundlich. Das Frühstück fand ich etwas langweilig, etwas mehr Auswahl/ Abwechslung wäre toll. Die Qualität war aber sehr gut! Einziges wirkliches Manko des Hotels ist die Lage. Etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum direkt neben einer Disko/Nachtclub. Dadurch war es nachts leider sehr laut. Trotz Ohrstöpseln war es leider sehr schwierig, einzuschlafen. Ich...

"This is a very beautiful property a few km outside the city of Battambang. The rooms in the front are large, very high ceilings, with a separate seating area. And there's another large building with rooms around the pool with a restaurant attached. Food is good and inexpensive. All are decorated with Khmer bas reliefs and bright colors. One of the prettiest places I've ever stayed."

"An ordinary hotel in Battambang- very hard uncomfortable bed, room didn’t overlook a pool- shower room had water, we didn’t get any hot water, curtains were ineffective. Interesting lock (padlock) for the room, We ordered some room service- this was ok. Seemed a nice family running the place but it’s more of a guest house feel."

"Large room, quiet, very comfortable bed (mattress on the floor). Unfortunately it was let down by the bathroom, which got completely wet due to the open shower and the shiny floor tiles then got very slippery. Quiet pool and small garden area, pretty enough to be used by a wedding couple for their photos during our stay. Not much in the immediate area in terms of food options but we discovered Cafe Eden on the other side of the river, an easy walk for good food. "

"I enjoyed my room and service the hotel staff provided. I did not like that I stayed on the 7th floor and the elevator was Brocken. The one positive to this is that it showed me how out of shape I have become and I am now on my journey to being healthy. So in a weird sort of way I am thankful that the elevator at Hak Huot Hotel 1 was broken even though it was miserable carrying my luggage up and down."
