I wanted to give this place a chance, I like rooting for the under dog. I needed to get away for a couple days, and I was hopeful this place would bring me rest and relaxation. It did not.
I knew something was off as soon as I called the desk and asked for a set of utensils. I arrived at 8pm, made a microwave meal at 9pm. But when I called front Jim at the front desk, all I got was "I don't know if we have something like that" ??? You are a hotel, and you don't have a set of utensils for your guests??
Thankful the AC worked, that was the only mildly good thing. But the AC rattled like a boiling kettle on an un-even stove top. So it was either: sleep in 100° heat, or sleep with earplugs in.
Some of the towels in my room were ALREADY stained, as well as the seal in the bath tub was not leak proof. So showering resulted in water all. over. the floor. Also, what is up with the water?? Thank goodness it got hot, but hot was the only setting. Water from the sink only ran hot.
Splits in the paint, carpet had stains. The ceiling had water stains. I'm glad I brought my own pillows/blankets/sheets.
The pools are EXTREMELY dirty, but that didn't matter because they were always full, with families yelling and playing loud music well into the night. The staff really should enforce a 10pm quiet time like every hotel/campground to exist. The only time I was able to find room in one of the various pools was at 2 am, but by then they were dingy and opaque, most likely with pee.
