The manager/owner was very responsive when I asked for a clean bedspread, as the one in our current room had pet hair all over it. I asked for a clean bedspread and he graciously moved us to a new room that was also an upgrade at no additional charge. Once moved, we found the bathroom floor around the tub and toilet very dirty/moldy, toilet not very clean, plunger had toilet paper from last use, no Kleenexes, broken shower surround, anti-slip mat in tub moldy, barely useable/leaking faucet and shower head. Wall by so k ant toilet had substances on the walls not cleaned after last occupant. Bedside tables had not been cleaned. Both had food/drink residue. Lamps had not been wiped down for some time. Not bad for $70. ☹️

The room was clean. The front desk guy was very nice. No, it wasn’t fancy and we knew that going in.Its an old model but it’s taken care of. It was a last minute getaway with my grandkids and daughter. We could see the ocean across the street from our window. Room #4 The heater worked great. The money we saved made it possible to do a few extra things with the kids. We will stay again.

This motel is DISCUSSING!! Mold on mattress, Pure Filth in the bathroom?! And the dude that is in the office is a Complete Creeper!! If you have a choice, Please don’t stay here…it’s cheap but Not worth contracting hepatitis or worse!

I loved the location in regards to Depot bay. The heater in the living room did not work and the fan in the bathroom sounded like it was really pissed/noisy. But other than that it was ok, not a terrible experiance but just ok.

Rooms were pretty rough. They still have carpet which based on the colour is pretty old and the room smells strongly of smoke. Shower stall is small and my 6'2 husband was cramped. The seals on the doors and windows are quite old and the we could hear the conversation of the neighbours outside while they were smoking. The wind also whistles through all night. (hence the name of the hotel, lol)

Great budget motel. Some rooms with ocean views. Chinese Restaurant Wing Wa stumbling distance. Fine dining at Tidal Raves across the street. Bedding was clean . A little musty smelling but, didn’t notice it after awhile . If you’re super picky pay more and stay elsewhere.

We were really happy staying here, it’s in a great location and the man working the front desk was very nice when we were there. The room was really clean in my opinion compared to other cheaper motels I have stayed at in the past, there’s old carpet in the rooms but other than that we had no complaints at all, I also felt safe staying here and there didn’t seem to be weird people lurking around which is also a plus. Would recommend to stay here if you are wanting to stay on a budget!

When we arrived we were hounded about not being on site by 9:00 PM, as we drove from Idaho, that was a tall task. He said they almost cancelled our reservation. They charged our credit card. He gave us a key, we went to that room, opened the door and there was a man wrapped in a towel standing there, confused as we were. We promptly apologized and left, back to the office, the night manager complained about his staff and tried another room only to have cleaning issues. Just not a fun experience.
