Not a nice location.
The manager/reception was rude. They did not give us the Twin Beds I booked well in advance.
The food was mediocre. A rat ran under our table while we were having breakfast.
The room was dirty. No tea coffee provided. The Electric Jug was filthy.
I was unable to use my credit card to pay the bill for our food which caused us a great deal of inconvenience as we had not many Rupees left.

schlechtes Hotel in übler Gegend
Eigentlich gebe ich nie Bewertungen ab. Diesmal muss ich aber. Das Hotel liegt in einer unfassbar üblen Gegend. Alleine reisenden Frauen ist dieses Hotel auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen. Man fühlt sich nicht sicher. Beim check-inn versuchte man mich zu betrügen und gleich 1.000 Rupien mehr zu berechnen, bis ich meine ausgedruckte Reservierung zeigte. In der Zwischendecke lebten Ratten (vermutlich, hörte sich so an). Am Badezimmerfenster eine Taube. Laken dreckig. Kaltes Wasser. TV funktionierte nicht. Batterie in der Fernbedienung war ausgelaufen. Morgens gab es Qualm und Plastikgestank im Zimmer, weil Menschen in den Straßen wegen der Kälte Müll verbrannten. Wlan war so mittel. Kühlschrank wegen Dreck nicht nutzbar. Zwischen 8 bis 23 Uhr schreckliches Gehupe der Autos und TukTuks. Im Zimmer lag eine Speisekarte. Damit bin ich zur Rezeption gegangen und wollte Essen bestellen. Der muffelige Angestellte zeigte dann auf ein Lokal in der Nähe und hat mich wieder weggeschickt. Dieses Hotel ist max. 10 Euro wert (habe 25 Euro/Nacht gezahlt). In der ganzen Gegend wimmelt es von Touts. Man hat keine Chance als Ausländer in der Gegend nicht angesprochen zu werden. NIE WIEDER dahin.

Unprofessional Staff
I had initially booked the hotel for two weeks, after reaching found out that hotel was very dirty, bad location, there was construction work inside the hotel without any signs posted. Inside the rooms were humid and were mold build up. The beds were not clean and the rooms were dark. When I cancelled my booking after two nights the hotel didn't refund the remaining 12 days. So basically I paid for something that I didn't use.

THAN THE BOMBSHELL CAME THE ROOM IS OCCUPIED WE HAD TO WAIT TILL 3AM FOR ROOM. DIRTY ROOM.NO TOWEL. NO TOILET PAPARE. NO HOT WATER FOR 4 NIGHTS MANAGER THE MOST USELESS I WANT PAY HIM WITH PINUTS. YOU SHOULD BE ASHEMED TO GET INVOLVE WITH THIS THIRD WORLD HOTEL. EXPIDIA GREAT COMPANY YOU INVOLVE WITH THIS THIRD WORLD HOTEL YOU WILL LOSE YOUR REPUTATION. WE KNOW IS NOT 5 STAR HOTEL BUT AT LEAST YOU EXPECT TO GET BASIC. I BOOK THERE BECOUSE OF YOUR REPUTATION.WE BOOK WITH EXPIDIA MANY TIMES THIS IS THE WORST. Hotel Room was full of Roaches and insects
Room was full of roaches and other insects. Asked front desk, was told they can get it sprayed but I have refuse it as no alternate room was offered and was not looking to inhale insecticides along with roaches. Staff was rude as well. I had asked for a cup of tea, answer was they have ran of milk. Asked for a bottle of water, no response for an hour after 2 remainders, decided to go out and bought it myself.

Most filthy and dirty hotel I have ever encounter. Staffs are not friendly. Door mate are so filthy - it stinks. Faucet in the wash room not working. TV and AC is not working. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE…
I went to New Delhi thinking I found a very nice hotel according to the pictures on the web. I originally booked the room via travelocity.com but I was extremely disappointed when I got there. The hotel was dirty as hell from the outside of the room but I had booked a Deluxe room which had a king side bed and a nice and spacious room so I thought once I got there it’d be different. I was wrong; the room was extremely hot even though the A/C was on, a ceiling fan spinning at the highest speed with no control available, the bed’s linen were dirty and the pillows were wrinkled you could tell they were not changed. Only one towel was available and it had stains all over. The bathroom without sanitary paper available and the walls full of fungi as well as the floor. Totally disgusting. In addition to all of this, the hotel is located in one of the most dangerous zones there so it wasn’t safe at all. Do not be deceived by the pictures, sadly as it turned out they are not accurate AT ALL. I spend the first night without sleep, I left the Hotel in the morning.

Very bad experience staying at Hotel The Raj
Our room was not cleaned at all.The bathroom was very dusty and had no toiletries.Wifi was not working .We had to shift to another clean room at 11 o clock at night.That room was also not good.Tables were dusty.We had to call 5 times for getting a toilet paper.The AC was noisy like hell and the bed was also very smelly(naphthalene balls). We had booking for two days but we could not stay so we decided to leave the hotel and shift to a new place. The manager was very stern and took charges for the day we didn't stay saying that booking cannot be cancelled same day.He was not responsible for the bad experience we faced. He was very irresponsible and answered very badly for all our complains.
Overall it was the worst experience we ever had.

Pathetic hotel in Paharganj
Hi all,
I have booked this hotel for three days. Facilities given by hotel was terrible. There was no room service, their telephone was not working, no hot was in the bathrooms and top of that complementary breakfast was refused to serve on the first day. Their restaurant person were fighting in front of the guests and were creating a very big scene.
I have left the hotel on 2nd day of my booking because of these all issues.
I suggest everybody to avoid this hotel at all cost.

Overpriced
The staff were very friendly professional and helpful. However there was no hot water and the room was pretty grungy. Bed was good but for that price one should expect far better.

Absolutely loved staying here and can't wait to go back, amazing staff, really clean and brilliant size rooms. Yummy breakfast too.

For Budget Travelers.
A reasonable priced and affordable hotel. Situated in the center of the city. Rooms may not be of a five star quality but is definitely one that provides for a comfortable stay sans all the high fashioned decor. The rooms are done in simple touch and the beds are good sized with comfortable bedding. I was happy to see that the house keeping maintained the rooms diligently throughout our stay.

Restaurant wasn't great. Room are good but no body showed up to change the sheet you have to ask them to do so. But price was good .
