"Absolutely AWESOME!!! We came for Ironman Kalmar and couldn’t have been taken care of better. The staff bent over backwards to help accommodate our race schedule, meal times and special needs. Only the very best. The food was the among the beat we had in our 2 weeks touring in Scandinavia with such simple and delicious meals that allowed us to enjoy our time instead of always searching for a place to eat and wondering what we would get. The location to the bus station and grocery store and race venue was only the finest. I felt at home surrounded by family. I would give more stars if possible."

"Beautiful location for a relaxing break. We enjoyed the spa facilities and breakfast was great, lots of choice and nice coffee. Would recommend having a car, 30min drive to Kalmar for the Ironman"

"There were many many trails to hike and bikes to Rent so we could ride into town... the bikes we rented were in really good shape and fit us perfectly with a few adjustments and we could ride to the castle and all around town and then many places to park the bikes and we had locks which was really good. We could also explore pass along the water which was beautiful and it just happened that the weather was very, very good. The people that worked at the reception were super nice and super helpful and the day that we left to the central station they were able to call us a taxi. It's not necessary to have a car there because if you wanna ride a bike, it's an easy bike ride into town and the whole area is a beautiful place to hike and bike and be on vacation and enjoy the views and the fresh air. The cabin was very comfortable and small. There was a place to cook and eat and lots of picnic tables outside so you could cook inside and take your food outside to the picnic tables and enjoy the Views."

"Do not let the exterior fool you. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are relatively spacious compared to other European hotel rooms, you have a private bath, there's no a/c but the windows open and there's a fan. The breakfast buffet was minimalist, but there is a communal kitchen to which you have access 24/7. The beds are comfortable. The hotel is located a block from a grocery store and less than a mile from Gamla Stan. The hostess is incredibly friendly. I cannot say enough good things about our stay there."
