"Reception staff on arrival and throughout my stay were 1st class. Location was excellent for the beach and short walk to shops and restaurants. Room was small but immaculately clean and ideal for a short 4 night break. If you're looking for 5 star, don't bother but as far as value for money goes, you won't beat this place. I would absolutely recommend if you're looking for clean, basic accommodation with wonderful attentive and courteous staff in beautiful Port Douglas."

"This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. We arrived, anticipating an attractive and heated pool. We discovered a very dirty, shabby out of date pool that was cold. After much communication with Expedia, the owners of the hotel turned up the temperature on the pool. Unfortunately, because the hotel was listed as a four-star hotel, but was maybe at least a 2 1/2 star or three star hotel, we decided to go somewhere else. "The bathroom wasn't clean, couldn't open or close the shower door (both were fixed after we asked). TV WIFI connection stopped after one day, reception told me to sort it out myself he said it was just like a phone?? Not good enough for the money."

"Great direct access to the pool from our room. Five minute walk to the main high street and your choice of plenty of fabulous restaurants.
Room was clean, but a little tired. Good facilities in the room, but more space had been given over to the kitchenette, than space for suitcases or anywhere to put your clothes - so we were unable to fully unpack our small suitcases.

"The staff was delightful and communication was excellent. The cons- the pool view was underwhelming, and the room felt a bit mildewy, probably due to the humidity. The ac could have been much stronger and there was no way to keep light from the pool out of the room at night even with the shutters closed."
