"I would highly recommend this property. The front desk staff were very kind and insistent. The room was exceptionally clean, the property as well taken care of, and the parking is right outside the door. It is at a corner where there’s a gas station and several food places, including the always available McDonald’s right across from the hotel. I did not breakfast as I was in a hurry. On my way out, but don’t hesitate to stop here if you’re looking for an affordable, easy overnight day."

"We booked a king room, but were given a double queen. We were not told about the change in our room until we arrived at our actual hotel room. When we called down to ask about it, the clerk lied and said he'd told us at the desk that they'd changed our reservation. He also said he'd told us that the room was handicap-accessible (which wasn't a problem, but he never actually told us about it). "The property has no one on site, so if you need anything there is no one. Its like a house share, but upscale- you are sharing a house with strangers. There was no hot water for tea. Our outlets in our room didn't work- we tried the switches on the wall. Otherwise it is beautiful place comfy beds, clean and interesting."

"The hotel was in a convenient location to downtown. They were in the midst of renovations, but did a great job of protecting guests from that. The breakfast could have been a little more varied, but it was unique to have a bagel bar (if I’m remembering correctly)."

"I enjoyed my stay, check in was great the staff member went above and beyond. The room was clean and staff are very helpful. Breakfast was great they had a wide variety of food. "

"The balconies off the rooms were nice to grab some quick fresh air. The fitness center is open 24hrs. The restaurant was decent food. But it is an older hotel in need of some renovation and there’s really no other options besides paying for valet service if you have a vehicle. I would’ve hoped that valet parking be included with our stay but that wasn’t the case."

"Two rooms on the first floor had such a strong overwhelming chlorine/bleach smell that neither us nor our friends could stay longer than a few moments. The folks at the front desk were very helpful and polite and moved us immediately. We then got a second story room and a fourth story room and the smell was fine. It looks like they tried to remodel the property and on the surface it looks pretty good. The lobby looks nice. When you start to look closer at the rooms they are not in great shape....

"I stayed at this property to be close to a work training site. The property and room was clean and staff were friendly. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. I reported two issues with the bathroom and it was never resolved during my stay by staff. I had to find housekeeper to obtain a new bottle of lotion to hang on the bathroom as the existing one was watery. In the hotel pictures on the website, it shows an area to order hot food and beverages. When I arrived, I was informed...

"The Fontaine is in our rotation when traveling to KC. It continues to be very suitable for its location, cleanliness, comfort and value. Are the rooms in need of updating? maybe, but not to extent of calling them tired. We love visiting the bar on the 7th floor off the pool deck, though pool was not open for the season yet on this stay. Some of the best happy hour drinks you'll find anywhere! On matter of bathroom towel racks, none except one in the shower, not sure why there aren't any on...

"VRBO was cancelled day of arrival due to raccoon problem so had to stay here for a VB tournament as hotel options were limited. Overpriced. Room was clean but stains on carpet. Breakfast was “ok” would have preferred no breakfast with a cheaper room rate especially since it didn’t open until 7 on weekends and most sport teams have to be at venue to play before then. Location was good. A few great restaurants and cool used book store walking distance. Housekeepers were great. "
