"Place was just ok for a couple night stay. You have to go to another loction to pick up and drop off key. Staff there were friendly. Not to far away, within walking distance. Couple blocks away from waterfront area. Bed was ok, couch to sit on was not very good. Room was roomy. Shower flow for hot water was not very good. There is a decent size outdoor sitting area. You will hear noise. I don't think I would stay here again."

"I booked my reservation on Expedia.com. I arrive at 2:15 pm & I was immediately told by a lady sitting in the waiting area playing on her phone that I had to wait for a room to be cleaned before check in& I would need $100 deposit & it had to be on debit/credit card. No where on the reservation states there is $100 deposit & it has to be on a credit/debit card. The hotel wouldnt accept cash for the deposit. While waiting for the room to be "cleaned" I went to put my cash on a card for the deposit. Upon coming back to the property I noticed almost all the rooms at this hotel have the curtains wide open and are VACANT. SO WHY DID I HAVE TO WAIT TO CHECK-IN? The next morning I get up & go downstairs for breakfast. The hot breakfast included sausage which was cold but well overcooked which appeared to be older than the other sausage available that was raw & had white spots all over it. The eggs were cold and watery. There was only enough waffle mix for 1 -2 waffles. There was no syrup to be found. There was very little milk in the refrigerator not even enough to make a bowl of cereal. Very upsetting being I was expecting a Continental Breakfast. My stay consisted of 2 days & not once did housekeeping come to ask if we needed anything. The furniture was scratched & worn. The linens were stained & appeared to be not clean or changed. I ended up purchasing & using my own linens. The AC in the room was old, dusty & loud."

"The hotel is newer and very maintained. Austin at valet was very polite and helpful in telling us hints about Shackleford Island. Rachel (bartender) and Sharon (front desk) were so polite and when we requested the pack n play it arrived within 5 minutes with clean sheets. Everyone we met at the hotel was friendly. The breakfast has a variety of food to please even the picky eaters."

"Hotel Alice is one of our favorite places to stay at Atlantic Beach. We stay year round, however the last time I noticed the rooms were NOT as clean as previous stays! Everything from the bed likened to the towels. We were very disappointed because we know this isn’t the normal experience."

"The rooms are clean and the grounds seem to be well kept...other then that my stay was horrible. The location is weird and the property owner is not at all professional or customer service friendly. I should have left when I first got to the place because while I was checking in the property owner was reading off a clipboard full of his personal rules while staying at the property... It was overwhelming and very unrealistic and so uncomfortableb but I understand that was his place and he had rules he wanted followed . I "
