"This hotel is a perfect location if you’re doing the obvious stuff (Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Needles Highway, Custer, etc.). The room was clean and totally fine. The drawback to the room for us was really we didn’t like the pillows. They were too soft for my liking. Additionally, the tv in the room is super small. "Our stay at the Lodge was very nice. The property is beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable; especially the bed! We arrived at 2:00 pm and checked on our rooms and the lady at the desk said they had nothing ready for check in. We were there for a wedding and hoped to get in to at least one room early to change for the wedding. I know early check in is based on availability. "This is probably the nicest budget friendly hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Nestled in Hill City, 20-30 minutes away from all the big attractions. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and cozy. The beds were sooo comfortable! My husband gives the showers 10/10. He is a shower snob! The full breakfast was filling every morning.
