Hotels in District VII., Budapest

"Was a very nice stay in one of the Suites. Great location and access to restaurant. Style is a bit dated with a late 70’s minimalist and hostel feel. Room was as pictured, in fact bigger than. My only comment was the bathroom sink, it needs a redesign and it was a mess to even wash one’s hands or brush the teeth. The is one complaint I have, the hotels transportation service, Welcome Pickups, is terrible, we were stuck at the airport on arrival for 45 minutes waiting for a driver that told us to wait outside in the cold. One would expect a person to be waiting for you, not one that has you call when you get there.. they were supposed to monitor the flights… and on the departure, the Welcome Pickups drive left use in the arrival area parking lot where we had to struggle with our luggage and then when we find the departure area upstairs, there is an area in front where taxi’s can drop you off at the entrance… i guess the drivers do not have airport taxi permits.. with this said, if you do not have a bit of luggage, i would consider just booking a cab on arrival or via bolt… so much for attentive transport"

"This was a very nice apartment. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was very noisy however as there was drilling going on. The fridge, was more like a freezer as it froze everything in it. But other than that I would highly recommend it. "

"This is a stunning hotel. I kept thinking I may not fit in with the clientele! If I have a complaint it’s the same throughout Europe, and that is, no top sheet on the beds, just a duvet with a cover. But the duvet is too hot middle of the night and way too cold with nothing covering me. But that’s not a slight on this hotel, just a general comment on all the hotels I’ve been in this trip. The staff are terrific with good English, breakfast I thought was excellent. My daughter used the gym each day and said it was really good and very clean. "

"Anantara is a luxury hotel situated in a historic building, with a gorgeous lobby and interior, beautiful and luxury spa area, serving breakfast at the stunning New York cafe. It is a joy and excitement to be there and experience the property. On the other hand, I felt the price to be a little too high taking in mind that our bedroom (for which we paid premium) needed updates and had chipping on the walls and shower. The drinks in the lobby were also way above for what we paid in other luxury locations in the city. I celebrated my birthday on one of the nights and it was strange to see that hotel did not acknowledge that. Typically, flowers, chocolate or discount code for facilities--that is a small gesture that luxury hotels do, but in our case there was no recognition/initiative from the hotel. It was easy for me to compare, because on two prior nights we stayed at Matild place and, while having very similar pricing, the comfort of the room and attention to the service level by hotel staff, were at different levels.
