"This is one adorable motel! The room was decorated beautifully, there was a porch and a huge walk in shower. It was easy to communicate with the hotel. I was given very good directions and the whole check in process was done by text. It couldn't have been easier. The bed was very comfortable. "

"This property is very aesthetically pleasing and has high quality furnishings. Although the dwellings are fairly close to one another the patios are placed on the same side and have well placed shades so that you don't feel that close. There are wagons provided near parking to aid in taking your luggage in, which I loved. There is coffee provided as well as a big zapper and games. My teenagers slept well on the sofa bed and there is a separate A/C unit in the bedroom ensuring a cold room for sleeping. The stargazing was very nice and patio had excellent seating facing sunrise/moonrise. Would definitely return. "

"The property (motel) was good. Breakfast was adequate. Places to eat in Ft. Davis were awful. No evening hours at all."

"Place was amazing. Just know what you’re getting into. First off know that you’re off the grid. And there is absolutely zero cell phone signal and while there are certain locations on the ranch that does have Wi-Fi my particular cabin did not. Secondly, you do have to go on a 3 mile dirt road after traveling approximately 13 to 15 miles off the beaten path. I particularly didn’t mind this. In fact this is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a place to where I could shoot photography for the stars a place that was dark and so having an area that was off, the beaten path was exactly what I wanted. They had a restaurant there that had absolutely fantastic food. They also had a pool which I did not use. Apparently, according to what I read, you can fly into there if you should so shall choose. As there is an airfield. When you read about their history, you can take in the fact that they once partnered with the Shelby corporation to establish the Terilinga racing league. There’s a lot of history there. There’s also hiking which I did take part in do so at your own risk. Outside of the lodge, you’re about 20-40 minutes from Big Bend national Park. There’s also a big bend State park. Furthermore, there’s a Terilinga ghost town which has fantastic ice cream and a place called the starlight theater that had live music too! Overall, if you know what you’re getting into it’s a wonderful place to go and I quite literally enjoyed my stay there And I am eager to go and return."
