Hoi An nightmare

We had asked for airport pickup but that didn't arrive so got a taxi there. On arrival from the outside it looked shut. We went inside to find a dirty empty reception, walked into the restaurant to find 2 people asleep. The girl asked if she could help us, we said we were booked in, she made a phone call and then took us to a room. We walked by the pool, there was a dirty table, rubbish in the corner, filthy floors, no sunbeds. The room was full of mosquitos,we got bitten to death the first night, the shower was filthy. Got up for breakfast, another lady came, there was nothing at all for breakfast. She got us a cup of something to drink. There was only one girl there who was asleep all the time, a man who I think was the owner living in the ground floor room. The place looked closed, everywhere was dirty, it was old and needed renovating. Nothing like the pictures.

조용히 하룻밤을 보낼수있는 괜찮은곳!

새벽에 도착했더니 문이 닫혀있어서 놀랐는데 직원분이 내려와서 체크인 했습니다. 호이안에서 조금떨어져서 벌레나 청결상태를 걱정했는데 깨끗하고 편안하게 잘수있었습니다. 새벽에 오는 분들이 와서 자고가기에 딱인것같아요!

Great villa.

Loved our stay at the villa, very quiet but close to the amazing city centre (25 min walk but lots to see on the way). Pool was amazing too, and room was super comfy.

Very good hotel, close to town & beach.

This is a very comfortable hotel, very clean rooms. Nice, large pool. Walking distance to both Hoi An centre and Cua Dai beach but the taxis are very cheap also.

Great little hotel

This hotel is located a 30 minute easy stroll to the old town and a short taxi drive 450000 vnd to the beach. There are numerous local restaurants and a small area a 3 minute walk up the street where banh mi and banh baos are readily available. Our room was upstairs overlooking the pool and had a balcony. It was large and clean with a comfortable bed with plenty of great pillows. There was also a wardrobe and a table and 2 chairs. The bathroom again was large with a huge shower that always had hot water. It was kept very clean with regular top ups on the shampoo and shower wash. The airconditioning was very efficient. The pool is well kept and lovely to return to when hot and sticky! There are 3 concrete sun loungers by the pool. Free bikes aavailable. Breakfast involved coffee, tea, juices, cereals,yoghurt and fruit as well as an egg station and several buffet options. The staff are very friendly and try very hard to ensure your stay is a wonderful experience.

Lovely place, with excellent facilities

We had a lovely stay, we were welcomed with a drink and kind staff. The room was very comfortable, with an excellent bathroom. The pool was an added bonus and the free bike rental.

Lee works the reception. She's warm, friendly, thoughtful, caring, very knowledgeable yet discreet. She makes sure you get all you need. Travel agent to us, she organized diligently, understanding our needs and desires perfectly, a trouble free (read fantastik!) tour in Halong Bay, booked us train tickets in and out of Ninh Binh, recommended hotels in Hanoi and scheduled our taxi to Da Nang airport. In short: Lee, and the staff at Truc Huy villa, are there, for ALL YOUR NEEDS.

Highly overrated hotel

Ms. Lee was wonderful. The other staff spoke very little English. The rooms were nice and clean but overall the hotel is in need of some repair. There restaurant is non existent except for the breakfast service which was poor. Other than the freshly prepared eggs, the choices were lacking and cold, even the coffee was often cold. The location was as expected and we didn't mind the long walks or bike rides to old town and the beach. We cannot understand the rating given to the hotel based on the reviews submitted and therefore question the honesty of them. We would not return.

nice but not more

Room was nice, bathroom was big and spacious. Staff was nice. Minuses: 1. Hotel is very from city center. 2. Room isnt sealed, there were cracks in the door. Ants/bugs in the room. 3. Many many many mosquitoes down in the lobby/breakfast. Staff wont turn on air conditioning down there and doors were all open all the time.

Great room, awesome bed. We got room with balcony. Huge shower. Really nice hotel, worm feeling. Far from the old center, so they give you free cycles, but better rent motorbike for cheap. The pool was great too.

Awesome hotel & great value for money

Amazing value for money! The room was superb, the swimming pool was awesome, the breakfast super tasty and the service first class: arranged trip and transport from Da Nang to Hoi An and from Hoi An to Hue. The surroundings are super quiet and the hotel has a very relaxing and calm atmosphere.

พนักงานที่นี่เป็นมิตรแต่ไม่ค่อยยิ้ม พนักงานให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับเมืองและการท่องเที่ยวในเมือง มีแผนที่ของโรงแรมให้ แต่แผนที่เมืองเก่าไม่ได้ปรับปรุงใหม่ตามสถานที่ที่ย้ายไป ห้องดูดี มีสระว่ายน้ำ อาหารเช้ามีให้เลือกไม่มากนัก แต่ก็ใช้ได้ มีจักรยานให้ยืมถีบฟรี เนื่องจากโรงแรมไม่ได้อยู่ใกล้เขตเมืองเก่ามากนัก ไม่สามารถเดินไปได้ ต้องถีบจักรยานไป โรงแรมเข้าซอยไปเล็กน้อย มีป้ายอยู่หน้าปากซอย ชายหาดก็สามารถถีบจักรยานไปได้ ถ้าแข็งแรงพอ

Excellent staff...

Great hotel with very helpful staff. The rooms were a good size with very nice modern bathrooms. The pool was great and sauna was a nice extra. We had some issues with the wifi to start with, but after talking to 2 incredibly helpful staff we ended up using the neighbour's connection (which the staff went round to get the password for us). Staff were always happy and wanted to make conversation and really make us feel at home. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Hoi An.

A wonderful experience!

We loved this hotel! Everything about it was wonderful. The staff are helpful and attentive when you need something. The room was beautifully designed and extremely clean and comfortable. The location is great, equidistant from the beach and the old town, they give you a bike for free and can arrange a motorbike for a reasonable hire price. I have no complaints or suggestions as this was a perfect stay. We really wished we could have stayed for longer. Also, just to add something that I thought was excellent customer service. We forgot to email the hotel to arrange a pick up from Da Nang station on the morning we arrived and I emailed them about 30 minutes before we got off the train (not really expecting a reply). The manager replied almost immediately and arranged to pick us up from the station by the time we arrived, we waited for about 30 minutes in a restaurant and he picked us up and took us to the hotel. Amazing service! We would stay here again without question.

Great hotel

We stayed at Truc Huy over Xmas and had a lovely few days here, room was great size and very airy. The bathroom was really clean. the hotel had a pool and sauna and free use of bikes - great way to see Hoi An. The staff here were really friendly and helpful, they put on a lovely Xmas party on Xmas eve with free food, drinks and presents for everyone. A great festive surprise!! Would stay here again!

Entre la plage et la ville, magnifique petit hôtel. Propreté, équipement et service parfait. Le petit déjeuner est top. L'hôtel prête des vélos, Le personnel est adorable. J'ai hâté de pouvoir y retourner!

Situado entre la playa y el centro (a 2 km de cada punto) Muy nuevo todo y el personal encantador. Bicis gratis para ir al centro o un taxi por menos de 2 dólares

Un vrai petit bijou

Emplacement idéal, entre la mer et la ville - Hotel neuf, tout est propre, la literie est la meilleure de tout notre périple, le marbre des salles de bains et la décoration des chambres qui sont très éclairées (beaucoup de fenêtres), la superbe piscine, les vélos neufs, les lits XXL, font de cet hotel un vrai petit havre de paix. Le personnel est adorable. Il faut juste améliorer la qualité du petit déjeuner, sinon ne changez rien !
