2/10
I want to start by saying that I love Cusco—this city is incredible, and absolutely worth visiting. But my experience at Rhouse was disappointing not because of the cold or minor inconveniences, but because of how the staff handled our discomfort.
The room was freezing at night, and there’s no central heating—only a single small plug-in heater, which wasn’t enough for two people. I politely asked for a second heater. The response? A flat “no.” No explanation. No attempt to help. Just “no.”
It was only after I said I would leave a review that they suddenly said, “Actually, we can bring you another heater.” That moment told me everything I needed to know about their approach to service. It’s not about guest comfort—it’s about protecting their image.
I wasn’t even planning to leave a review at all, despite the cold, the lack of hot water, or the weak Wi-Fi—all of which were mentioned in previous reviews. I was willing to let it go. But what I can't ignore is how they chose not to help until they felt pressured publicly.
This isn’t about amenities—it’s about how you treat people. They could’ve done better, and they chose not to. That’s what guests should really be aware of.
Cusco is amazing. Just be thoughtful about where you stay.
