"The hotel and facilities are cared for and standards are maintained. There are areas that need improving very easily, better street signs not really hotels problem but would help navigate local surrounding area. Definitely explore as it is in great location… For me not having coffee espresso available unless bought! Frustrating because again simply rectified. Can’t fault the place and will definitely visit again. Staff in gym great.. pool great and all leisure facilities great.. Surrounding area very quiet and peaceful. Good choice of food including gluten free for me… but no snacking food easily accessible and private… I like to be alone! Not everyone is a social butterfly"

"Great location on the beachfront. Well maintained property with clean rooms and the extras you would expect - safety deposit box, ironing board etc. I wasn't particularly impressed with the in house toiletries which seemed cheap. Staff were all friendly and helpful and parking was easy and included in the booking price. Breakfast was fine but a little underwhelming. There was a good but not extensive range on offer. The breakfast room itself was pleasant and calm. All in all a good hotel. Would happily return."

"I booked this for my husband as he was in the area for business purposes & from their photos and reviews it looked great and somewhere he could eat a decent meal. However, when he arrived there is no food served during the week. The hotel side was totally unmanned. Entry was via tapping in a code, which was fine, however the door handle needs replacing as kept.spinning round. His room was terrible.and nothing like the photos, it was poorly maintained, cup stained furniture, holes in the wall that had been filled but left unpainted, just a very poorly maintained room. To add to that as it was one of the hottest days of the year, the windows could not be opened, so sleep wise was terrible. The offering of breakfast was a jar of granola which was soft and due to how bad the room was my husband didn't feel he could even the breakfast. As he travels all over the UK & Scotland for business he has said unfortunately this was on his top 10 of the worst places he has stayed at."

"We loved everything about our stay at The George in Rye Hotel. The service at the restaurant and reception was excellent and the quality of the food was outstanding. A special thank you to George, who kindly managed to arrange our food order even though the restaurant was extremely busy. His professionalism and helpful attitude made our experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended — we will definitely return!"
